Join the Geasey Adventure Crew as they take you on a tour on their amazing skoolie conversion of a 1996 (250 sq. ft.) Bluebird TC-2000 named "Alex". Luke and Hannah were chasing "the American Dream" and it was killing them, so tiny living became their solution. This DIY bus conversion has all of the comforts of their old apartment but the freedom to live wherever they want. From the gorgeous open L-shaped living room, to the spacious kitchen (check out that cast iron sink) they made this school bus their home. The insight and advice that Hannah and Luke have on family living in the bus is so insightful, and can be an inspiration for any family looking to live tiny. For every commenting on the flys....geez! I have a 2000 square foot house and have some buzzing around. If you have kids they come in and out...with the flys. Doesn’t mean they are dirty. Love the bus.

Love how she touched upon family arguments and adapting to settling differences quicker. Not a lot of people open up to the challenging moments of having a marriage, a family and living in a limited space. But facing our differences will help us grow in the end. God’s blessings upon you.

My current rent in Chicago is $1,200 and it’s just me. I’m seriously considering what to do once my lease ends in February because I’m sick of throwing so much money away each month towards someone else’s ownership! I’ve been considering these bus conversions, a tiny house and the ship containers but I’m still not sure what I’ll do. Wish me luck lol

Wow and I was wishing I could be back in Chicago because I miss my family and the area plus I don't like the type of people out here 😓 but if that's how much it's gone up to guess Im stuck here till I die? I left for a guy and moved in with him 2002 had a 3 bedroom attic apartment and it was 500$ plus electric! But I can't breathe and I'm on the 3rd floor so I might not have been able to do all the stairs anymore? Good luck and hope you find something cheaper 🙏🙏

@@me4654 $500 + electric?! What state is that? 😳 The only way someone could pay that here is if they live in the hood where all the violence is!! However, I suppose it’s also possible in the far suburbs if you actually buy the property, but not in Chicago!! Those are hood prices here, or some kind of government assistance which is typically in the hood as well.

Tiny house is good if you have family property or somewhere permanent to put it Bus is good if you want to travel in comfort harder if you want to stay put because lots of land renters don't like the look of busses nor do cities

Shower and the sofa cushions not covered would drive me crazy tucking and tucking in and smoothing wrinkles. The twin beds cubbies are sooo nice!You are so lucky!

I love that the home has like an open concept feeling to it where it makes your home seem lot more bigger. Most Bus homes have an aisle straight down the middle of the bus with a kitchen on one side and the living room area on the other side, but you all manage to put in a big apartment size kitchen in with the living room on the same side and in a L shape too. Really beautiful home you have there...

Beautiful build!! Every time I watch one of these bus conversions I have one common train of thought, "Where do they live? As in, where do you park it? RVs can park in an RV park. Where do the buses park?"

Really love your bus. Can see the love that’s gone into building it and the things you have learned along the way. It will be exciting to see your rig again in another year and how you continue to evolve it to how you and your family like to live. Very nice build but for a blue bird bus its hard to believe you did not put a shower in there. Also I saw a lot of flies on your knives and cutting board too. Other than that its nice. Apartments are not cheap anywhere in the USA especially the bigger cities.

I agree with you 100% a beautiful bus home but no bathroom I do not see how you can go in the woods pull up something from under your cabinet it's cool to have planet but every time you need to take a shower you got to go there but people live the way they want to

nice skoolie! question though, why is the nature's head composting toilet not vented to the bus exterior? also, one of those "magic mesh" magnetic screen door covers would keep all the insects out, and they are only like $15. i use one on my tiny home in a truck and they are amazing.

They didn't show whether the Nature's Head Composting Toilet is vented or not, it has ports on either side and the side against the exterior wall wasn't shown... The magic mess is a good suggestion and there are other similar products available...

Nature's Head has a vent port on either side of the toilet, the side that is visible is capped (they covered it and used a pipe clamp to seal it), not open, but the other side was never shown... At best we only see part of it in the mirror just before the 5 minute mark but can't tell if the vent on that side is hooked up or not... @@ZeoCyberG it doesn't look covered to me...it looks like it has screen screw-clamped over it, to prevent insects from flying in. you can see the rim of the pipe through the screen. if you were just capping it, why not use a pvc end cap? lol, ain't no way i was paying $1100 for a nature's head toilet, so i built my own composting toilet, and i used the same pest-proof screen with screw clamp contraption over the end of my vent pipe, which goes out through my floor, that's why it looked so familiar.

Yes that is the first thing I would fix is a indoor shower raising children growing up to let them know that they do need to take showers they are married couple you need showers but the bus is nice

Nice build i like the L shape couch so many people put a wall at the stairs but I like that open feel when you come in, btw with the under storage being so low to the ground do you find it hard to get into some boondocking locations? I'm thinking of different options for my future, I like the skoolie idea as the buses are so solid and typically don't leak like traditional rv's and i like the under storage of the blue birds but I don't want it to limit the places I can get too.

I have seen lots of school bus conversions which are lovely but I would be too scared to drive one around as I like to be able to see out of all windows!😂 And yes, I know you can fit cameras to the outside!😂

Very nice lay out and living style. I may have missed what you use to heat the bus and do you venture into winter areas? I am torn between a short 26' skoolie or a 26' tiny house because of northern winters. Both are lovely homes.

I like it overall, but I have 3 problems, the focal point when you're on the couch is coats and shoes, no shower and no place to eat as a family.

They have a shower, they mentioned it during the tour. While not everyone eats at a dining table, that's a matter of preference... There's also the cargo trailer they tow behind the bus, gives them some extra work space, place to stow tools, and has tables, etc. they can pull out for outdoor activities... From their Instagram, it looks like they have a picnic bench they set up and they probably just prefer having family activities outdoors as they are set up to boondock...

this is a beautiful home but I was distracted by the amount of flies I saw. especially when it was crawling on ur cutlery. U may need to screen ur windows and doors to prevent insects and if this doesn't solve the problem inspect ur place to make sure they haven't found a place to lay eggs. Also I think that extra storage unit hitched to the back of your bus could be converted into a bathing area and you would be completely self sustained!
