While we got a few examples in the Super Showdown Bowl epilogue, this is the first time in the series we've really seen animated and puppet characters take part in a death battle, so any scene with them getting graphically killed can be scene as disturbing. Hannibal Lector skinning ALF alive and Doc Hoppering Kermit was no picnic either. Nor was Hiccup and Toothless getting eaten by Smaug or Shrek getting impaled.

It's rare to see quality these days. Well, popular quality that is.

Kinda ironic since crossovers and metanarratives that feel like fanfiction are very popular in Hollywood these days. But this, Disney's Once Upon a Studio, Barbie (bite me haters) and Disney's animated TV shows show that there are still good, non cynical ways to make a metanarrative that doesn't feel manipulative towards the CinemaSin crowd. Thor's speech to Hella is honestly a really beautiful way of saying even fictional characters with a typecast script can forge their own path.

Like it's a metaphor for Hollywood and how movie execs tend to indulge in biases and prejudices for their own personal gain. That's why I think he had separate arenas for anything not live action. They don't count as REAL characters or stories in his eyes, so why would he have them fight in the main arena? Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Just my interpretation.
