It's sad how "RPG" has become almost a negative descriptor for a game. I remember when I was growing up, those three letters would make me excited to play a game. Because RPGs would actually be made with those mechanics as the foundation instead of just being slapped on. Now it’s just an easy way to spot if a game is being stretched with filler/to get players to spend more money on a game due to intentional grindy design.

It never bothered me having a quiet, peaceful area after liberating it in Farcry 5. I enjoyed the peace with other activities like hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the views & ambient sounds. There's more to games than shooting and killing.

I'm not so sure about getting it now that the map editor is gone. For me part of the fun was taking a break from the main game, going into the editor, turning on invincibility and infinite ammo, and then screwing around with everything.

I loved the emergency healing animations in Far Cry 2. Like yanking a huge piece of wire out from between your fingers. I hope this one has good gruesome ones like that.

It's good to hear my favorite weapon from ND, the saw launcher, is coming back. I loved sniping at groups of enemies, and watching the blade bounce around, through several of the enemies.

I'm just happy the protagonist can speak now.

Im glad the character can holster the weapon. I've wanted to do that in previous FC games and others. Its more immersive,especially when talking to non combat players and tactical when needed, or when I'm just in explore or chill mode. I hope more games use this feature, in the future.

I love that they're sticking with character customization. I dont mind playing as a named character, as long as I can make them look unique.

I’m legit pissed that they took out map editor that has been a staple of the series since the beginning and one of my favorite things to do once i beat the game or when i just want to create some awesome creative missions for the community. this is a big blow for that community

Farcry has always had beautiful landscapes and water. The gun mechanics are always on point. It will be nice to see this on next gen consoles and to see just how crazy they can be.

Reminds me of Tom Clancy’s Ghost recon wildlands, with the forest aspect, Just Cause with the crazy gadgets (a legit mortar on your back), and FarCry New dawn with the weapons made out of scraps.

Don't think I ever did arcade. Never felt like it, so I hope that means they've put that effort in other parts. I'm still looking forward to it

i really like that the protagonist has a voice and that we can see him/her in the cutscenes. Is way more inmersive that all the cutscenes in first person (yes cyberpunk im talking to you).

I never played any of the Far Cry games.. I know they are one of the most popular franchises of our recent time.. this game looks like it would be very fun to play. I was very impressed with all the features it looks like this game is going to have. I plan on playing this game at some point. I'm a UKpostsr and only a part time gamer so I'm very picky on what games I put that time in to really play and enjoy that experience. This looks awesome. Great video guys!!! 🤓👍

I been hooked since fc3. And this one looks really good so far. Cant wait!

I just hope it feels more like 3 or 4 .. meaning that it has fun side things to do... and the smaller details again... like the actual looting animations and the more realistic steering ... and the way trees reacted to explosions and choppers.. plus like the crafting system would be cool. I actually liked that and it made hunting feel more fun because you had a reason to seek out certain animals. Do all of that... then take the bits from 5 that we’re good... (like more villain screen time ... and customization for the character). Then give a good fun story like 3... Add all of that with some new tweeks and I think we’d be onto something. I like the whole series really but 5 ... while fun still:.. and looked great ..felt sort of a step back with many things like detail and animations. Hoping they nail it with this one again. I know These games are never anything new or inventive ... but they still are pretty fun to just mindlessly explore, and play through and have great random moments because of the weird worlds full of wild animals and enemies.

I hope the outpost thing is more like the way in Far Cry 4, when you took an outpost, enemies tried to ttske it back. It would make sense for there to be a struggle to keep outposts, since there is an army backed dictatorship you're fighting.

With the post-game outpost stuff, you know what would be really cool? Is if they did like San Andreas style where territory/outposts would be attacked at random and you have to stay on top of it from time to time so the post-game invites you to stay by threatening some or all of your progress.

If the “light RPG” elements return in FC6, then that’s gonna be a deal breaker for me. It’s just that adding a tier system to specific weapons means that you’ll have to change your arsenal quite frequetnly, and often leading to “premium” weapons that require a grind to craft or buy with real money. The thing I liked the most about FC3, 4 & 5 is that you can beat the game even with any weapon, and you can have a lot of variety in your arsenal, each gun had their ups and downs but if you are able to take advantage of them, then you’ll be killing more enemies in any situation. That to me feels much more better rather than just mindlessly picking the gun that does more damage. If I want an RPG, I’d go and play The Division. I just hope they add a mode similar to Breakpoint where all the RPG elements are stripped.
