@ossebosse39883 роки тому
Hahahaha true
@houseofsharpeis93663 роки тому
That’s not that fast. And it’s not that difficult to pack one. 6-10 minutes is the norm. Under 5 and your booking. Also one that big you can stuff in the bag and not worry. One half that size has to be more precisely packed

With the possible exception of stowing the brakes (not shown, we can't tell whether he did it or the jumper), the guy skips no steps. Even double-stowing the lines on what are often "loose stows". That is a fast, but very *clean* pack job. Well done, sir! And thanks, AllSawedUp, for posting!

Same as anything, the more you do it the faster you get. Took my bike to the shop the other day, the guy did in 10 mins what would've taken me an hour. He didn't miss any steps of the packing process, I would jump that. In fact when I've used rental rigs I have no doubt jumped 5 minute pack jobs. As long as my reserve isn't a 5 minute pack I'm happy.
@VladimirTheLeadHead2 роки тому
It’s not the missed steps but the missed inconsistencies that are caused from being complacent. If I were packing my own chute like that than absolutely no problem . But if I were a nuby and it was my first time and I watched my chute get packed that fast I’d be nervous as a mother fucker.

was it a good opening is th right question! I saw a fast pack job once on a Unit. I asked the guy about it and he said - squares always open! Well, it opened but with a lineover. He tried to clear it until way to late and the reserve opened literally on impact. I will take a longer pack any time. The only time I tried to hurry for a jump was 6 months after I had fractured 3 vertebrae in my neck and the opening was AGONY. It did however open... @flajer156 років тому
You're right but most important, first and second bungee, because bag don't have enough speed to go straight so it can make some turns ;) I'm a packer in Poland. 15k+ packs, 2 cut aways at the moment ;)

Lol remember the trash packing brits back in the day. They grabbed the 4 line groups, walked to the top with the slider, shook it a little, wrapped the top around the whole thing and just pushed everything is the bag and closed it with two bungees then put the lines in the container in a figure 8 and closed it up. Never had a malfunction.

@Morgan40908 років тому
Is this a parachute or a parafoil?
@yarpos8 років тому
+Morgan4090 Its what everyone in skydiving would call a parachute or more commonly just a canopy. If you want to get into pedantry and patents perhaps it could/should be called a parafoil, however in common use it isnt. Using the term Parafoil may be recognised (by old jumpers)as a brand name of a particular early square canopy in the 70s. Was an excellent thing when it opened.
