Great video as always, I am doing exactly that, I scaled a lot of things down and have leaned heavy into more hands on in AWS for solutions architect with a specialty in security, so much so I've paid and will for the next 3-6 months for Cloud Quest which is amazing by the way for cloud hands on experience. I do plan on getting more into security automation after I become proficient in AWS. I am also still trucking through the last few 6 classes at WGU and I still do some coding here and there in python to keep me familiar until I can deep dive into it.

I do hold IBM and Google cyber security Certs, however, it's been hard to find a job since I am transitioning from a healthcare career. I started off my cybersecurity career landing a remote GRC role straight out of boot camp. I already had a business and decided to take advantage of my training during the pandemic. I want to build on my technical skills. I've obtained several free certifications as a veteran and I plan to pivot to Cyber Security Engineer. Honestly, I was already comfortable in my business. I just really enjoy cybersecurity also.

I have been following your channel for a while now and have completed a majority of the guided projects and certifications you have recommended. I would like to know if I could put these certifications as experience on my CV or just projects? I have put the skills obtained in the skills section but Im having a dilemma if I should put the labs in the professional experience section. I have created a github and started putting my projects and certifications there. Thanks for the video (and the newsletter!). I have a doubt, despite watching the video. Currently I'm studying Cybersecurity (a one year course) that I took looking to be a pentester. Now I have learnt the different Cybersecurity routes (Forensics, System and network hardening, etc) but the both that ring my bell are Pentesting (I have a background and experience as a fullstack web programmer) and DevOps. Which routes are best suited for both options?

I’d like to focus on CTI and mitre mapping/reporting because I enjoy writing and researching. I’ve been going down mitre database rabbit hole and binging reports it’s great way to learn attack concepts and mitigations but I feel like I have no hands on skills. Not sure where In industry I fit in.

hey mate, as explained in the video, Aws is very similar to azure so follow this and just do Aws cloud practitioner and aws solution architect then the security specialty

Can you do one with the fastest way to become a cloud security architect roadmap please ❤. Ex full stack engineer who is working a support engineer role with incident response. I have the aws SAA and a splunk cert. But i dont want to code that much any more rather build those soft skills and architecture security solutions. 🙏🏾

Oh thank you Guy to piss off the arrogant who trink that only university engineering is the must. I started with Google certification and nothing will stop me I really like I feel like Jeanne d’ARC of the web world and I don’t really want to go back the university to get the stuff. So thanks thanks thanks a lot for your work. Thumbs up 😊 I don’t think I like automation it is sounds repetition. It still an unknown field for me but I looooove coding

if you love coding, you’ll do really well! you can do the ‘automation’ training to learn more coding and you didn’t necessarily need to end up working in automation, but the skills that you will gain will be very helpful!

Wish I saw this video earlier 😮. I have a splunk power user certification, aws saa and I am working towards the aws solution architect professional and security cert . Should have those in the next 2 to 3 months . Would the aws equivalent to this path be to do projects with aws security HUB , inspector, and IAC/python? If not what would you recommend?

OMG Its love at 1st sight(video) hey man did God send you!!?🥰🥰 I have gotten a glimpse of my old classical router and switch, firewall physical device world totally being de-fuking molished by the coming world of "NFV"(network function virtualization) where physical chassis will be going away and CSU/DSU, Router, Switch, Firewall, Proxy will all simply be software virtual machines running in a VM Host and now we will have to learn YAML and NETCONF to even interact with them and was thrown into a total life crisis so i am looking at a new ladder of cybersecurity and wondering "what if" and you spoke to that pain without knowing.😭😭😭

Could you please do a video on how to become an IAM (access and identity management) engineer for someone with some cybersecurity concepts and also for complet beginners in cybersecurity? I have worked as a Product Designer for 15 years. Worked at places like Google, Verizon and Gartner. I know front end engineering. Some back end. And have dabbled with Linux over the years. I am going to school for my Cybersecurity Bachelor's and studying for the Google Cybersecurity cert and CompTia A+ cert. What kind of roles should I go after to start after I feel I am rady to transition from Product Design to Cybersecurity? Do I go entry level or demonstrate my skills and aim higher?

it depeneds on what you can land, but aim for something a little more senior. You can also skip the A+ and just follow the roadmap outlined
