This bill has things attached to it people do not like! The people that are trying to attach other things to it and not include important factors are the ones responsible. Make a better bill that they can then pass! People don't get that it is the added or missing factors that is the reason a bill does not get agreed on, NOT because they do not want to pass one. At this point, I won't vote for any Republican candidate, whether they are Maga or not. The "old guard Republicans" who are leaving, (for example, Mitt Romney), are correct in their decisions to retire. In the current Republican era, they couldn't win re-election anyway. I believe Romney & his fellow Republicans know the Republican Party is doomed, and it is Trump's doing. They know it will be at least a couple of years or more before the Party dies and a new Republican Party - or whatever they call it - is formed and gains popularity. VOTE BLUE!!

It was pretty clear that when that bill got shot down, the purpose to make the current administration seem inept. I think that became the general playbook almost as soon as the dust settled after January 6th. By doing so, they stood a better chance at winning in the midterm elections, and eventually giving their party's leader another shot...assuming he was not in prison.
