@@realribar4999 i guess you think about senna in monaco, 1989? tbh, rewatching it (since i was born in 1994), i gotcha...but this lap (from VER) had me standing on my feet, even tho i am no merc or rbr fan (or either driver)... i guess many people did it back then in 1989... and that's why these laps are so amazing, just catching you, as you almost feel the tension and pressure

Monaco qualifying was similar when he brushed the wall towards start finishing straight. But yeah the Jeddah lap was over the limit. Max probably would have held it if he ran a brand new set of tyres instead of doing 2 push laps. Those tyres would have been raging towards the last corner.

The lap of the season for me. Weirdly I felt him hitting the wall before it happened. Everytime I saw him push in that lap I was telling to myself that he’s putting in too much. One lap that I’ll always remember.

Everyone and their grandma wanted to push Mercedes of their hill. Look at the scenes in the pitboxes in Abu Dhabi. The only quiet one was the Merc-garage. They were all counting on Max.

The most telling thing from this is ive never seen a bunch of drivera amd reporters huddled around in this way to watch any other lap. Yes it ended in the wall but it just goes to show how hard hes pushed this year, most f1 fans have the memory of a goldfish so they dont *actually* remember how much he had to overcome this year.
