By the way they played, the 2010 WC was better. 2014 is overshined by the title and the 7:1, but it was not that Germany played really great football for the whole tournament. The game against Algeria was actually quite a shame and without Neuer they would have blown us out of the stadium. It was an amazing tournament and i'm happy to look back at it every now and then, but too many people overhype the quality of the games, because of the two factors i mention above. The team was legendary and the mentality of the key-players was really great, but i personally liked the 2010-WC way better in terms of how they played the game. It's similar to the 1972 Euro and the 1974-WC win. When you talk about the prime of the Beckenbauer-Germany, everyone mentions 1974, but they played by far their best football in 1972... and in 1974 Germany wasn't the best team in the world to be fair, but it was the Netherlands.

For example in 2006, even with Ronaldo, kaka, ronaldinho they lost against France 0-1, in 2010 Holland 1-2, especially Germany in your home country 1-7 shameful to remember, against Belgium 1-2 two years ago. In 2010 portugal brazil 0-0, in 2018 you draw with Switzerland 1-1.
