where do you get the resin from and what is the name of resin
@user-VIntuitive4 місяці тому
I make things out of resin all the time. It never occurred to me to do the floor! Fantastic!! What a great idea and extremely durable!
@paulthompson5416Рік тому
😂😂😂😂 I can guarantee if I tried that 🤦🏼♂️ it wouldn’t be the same result And the floor would be ruined 😂😂 Top job 👍🏼

Ben would it be a necessity to use this on an endgrain floor inatead of a waterbase filler? Gaps are 3mm wide and 3cm deep

I just use wood filler and extra dust from the sanding bag
@penutism997 місяців тому
Is that the floor finished after that or does it get sanded or stained again?
@skejcik000013 місяці тому
Sanded probably with 120 and later varnished

OH RIGHT CHEERS! so whats the stuff called you mixed with saw dust? @@skejcik00001

What type of resin?
@jerusalemcraftsman8637Рік тому
Why do you use this over waterbase? I use berger's filler, works fine and dries quickly
@EastWindCommunity1973Рік тому
I remember you stopped using wood glue for with sawdust to fill in gaps (will pop up and crack up after some years). Is it all about the product you choose? Any comparably products in the USA? Normal wood filler?
@sfuchs8 місяців тому
Exactly, what's the US alternative to this Lecol 7500 resin? Anyone knows?
@cameronalexander359Рік тому
Thanks for the time & effort put into recording & posting these vids.
@ReakerboyРік тому
Nice technique. Would you then do a finishing sand after? A 120 grit or finer?
@HowToSandAFloorРік тому
100 grit with the belt sander, then 80-100 with the Lagler trio (finishing sander)
@ReakerboyРік тому

But how much are you taking off? Are u leaving visible filler on the surface?

I just had my floor standing with a drum sander if I do this then do I got to send the whole thing over again
@tonyg6103Рік тому
There’s a product called wood flour cement but I haven’t used it in ages. Are you using trio dust with your resin?
@HowToSandAFloorРік тому
Absolutely 👌🏻
@asimismo6476Рік тому
what kind of resin???

It's used as a filler,once dry he will sand off
@fancy8365Рік тому
My floor is from 1927. It's awful .it is dark in some places where no finish exist and floor was wet will sanding rid that? Also what if I have some very very large gaps and deep scratch. What to fill? Thanks!

Wouldn't they just crack or get squeezed out of the floors when the wood moves since wood movement, specifically in the length of it is a thing
@HowToSandAFloorРік тому
It’s possible and with a floor like this probable, however, these boards where tightly pressed up against each other, no filler was getting in the sides. Wood doesn’t expand and contract along the length, so filler in header joints is less likely to come out. The whole point of this filling was to fill the nail holes.
@nickanderson8305Рік тому
@@HowToSandAFloor not sure why I said length. Thanks for correcting that and the response.

I get sawdust and glue to fill taped off cracks or openings between boards...but this just seems a bit much to me. You're really altering the entire surface.

so satisfying to watch but my autism needs to see it finished xD
@edwardbohl439511 місяців тому
The only thing is after a couple years of expanding and contracting the filler cracks up and looks worse than having no putty.
