What I got from this is; When I watch Valerian, don't sit there and complain that its a wanna be Star Wars rip off. They did this years before and for them to try and tip toe around Star Wars would be a slap in the face to Valerian and their fans.

Valerian was a gorgeous movie. The aesthetics, art direction, cgi, all of it was beautifully done. I could watch it over and over simply for how eye catching it is.

They're so different and I enjoy both so much, I just don't understand why we can't just enjoy them both without trying to compare them and argue which is better. The master Jedi refuses to fight the emperor's head man, and instead tries to save his soul.

Star Wars is literally nothing but homage to pre-existing movies, tv, and sci-fi stories. That's why it worked so well. It stole cool stuff from a bunch of other properties and mashed them all together. It's not really a conspiracy because Star Wars made no attempts to hide it. Speaking as an artist and a dungeon master I take inspiration from other stories and works. There will always be an influence. I take element for other pieces as a base and I change, develop and create something that can be a homage to said the piece that's how art is you see or hear something that inspires me and I either write or draw.

FIND OUT HOW OLD SHREK IS (Edit) okay nevermind about that. I looked up on Google how old Fiona was for the first movie. She was 23. But then again the ORIGINAL shrek ( where the movie came from) was made in 1990. After that I subtracted 1990 from 2017 and got 27. I added that and got 50. Remember that was the first movie. I then counted the years between EACH movie that has come out and got 60. Now with that education I can find out a little more about shrek. In all his movies he looked about middle-aged to his forties. I multiplied 23 by 2 and got 46. That could be a good answer.. But that doesnt sound believable. Keeping 46 in mind I multiplied 23 by 3 and got 69. Not a valid answer. Crossing that out I went back to fourty six. I calculated it all and got 83. But this is my question... How come they're not dead? They haven't even showed a single mark of gray (excluding shrek because he as bald as the moon) ? No one is getting a single wrinkle... So are ogres immortal? (But then again people can live up to 100 years... So my theory there is then invalid.) Taking this information ... Can you do a theory?
