The cross is CGI, it doesn't reflect off of anything else in the scene, which is why it pops so much. If you really focus on it, it doesn't even cast color on his pants, hands, or any of the glass shelves and pictures

This is what I believe: The song is literally a mockery of god. The opening lines are “ im trying to put you in the worst mood. p1 (p1 McLaren the car he drove at the end )cleaner than your church shoes”. He’s basically poking fun at those who believe the lord and is showing how far he’s gotten without him . I believe he is angry in this video at god. The cross is seen more so sinister because we are looking from his point of view. He despises it. he is literally “ bashing the cross” committing the only unforgivable sin which is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. When he mentioned that he is a “star boy “ he uses this as a pun for super star and his allegiance with satan via satanic star or pentagram. This is why at the end of the video he leaves behind the cross ( abandoned the Holy Spirit) and embarks on his own journey causing that small cat at the beginning to turn into the symbolic panther. Basically saying now that you have abandoned god and aligned with satan there is no return. Watch at the very end when he says “look what you’ve done” the camera always goes back to the cross. He is directing this message to god blaming him for not fulfilling his dreams so he turned to satan.
