Honestly, I tend to do that to group photos I’m in. I just crop myself out. Not so much because I’m ugly, though I’m obviously not the prettiest in my friend group, but because all my friends are 4’11-5’5 and I’m almost 6’ so in pictures I’m just a colossus woman towering over my cute petite friends. That’s even if I’m not cut off in the photo frame.

This video absolutely confused me so much because I literally thought everyone was straight every time they spoke, so I could not work out who it was for the life of me. They were all sus. Kris seemed to have the same experience too. So in the end, it's not really challenged my perception as much as reinforced it - if any one of them were the mole in a group of actually gay guys, I'm certain I would have picked them out right away lol.

It's true that men who have feminine traits don't have to be gay and all that but I also want to point out that everyone there was trying to act gay on purpose so we don't really know how they would normally act off camera. They could be very stereotypically straight IRL.

I will take this further and note that the one of the leading wisdoms about women imparted in teenage and early 20 male friend circles is that they DON'T like emotive men, and want you to show your manliness - hence why they always seemingly end up with the 'assholes' (because assholes are confident and often overtly masculine) and not the wimpy, sensitive, nerdy, quiet types. Lmao! That reminds me of when I came out to my mom. I'm also pan (didn't know it was a thing at the time) I was on a road trip out of state, called my mom up THE FIRST DAY I realized it, without ANY clues, hints, or even conversation before-hand, she picks up the phone, I say "Mom, guess what?" And she goes. "You're gay!" the way MY JAW DROPPED.

In my early 30's I told my Mom that I'm attracted to women as well. She didn't hug me for three years. Hah, lucky I'm pan to, I'm not out to my family but I am to some of my friends. I have a gay friend who understands, but some others don't. When I told them I had to explain what it was and sometimes they ask me "what are you again" I tell them and they go "yeah that's what I am too" it infuriates me because I've gone through really tough patches of being confused about my sexuality and they just completely don't understand. I can't even say that I'm angry because they will be mad at me. I just don't talk about it with them anymore, it's rough but I get through

Unfortunately my family were not so supportive. My mum found out I have been shaving my legs then proceeded to say that only gay people do that. I told her I was gay but she just said I was lying. When she got home she told my dad and said I was just being gay for attention. My older brother also tried to convince me that it is just a phase and that it won’t last forever. It kinda sucks since I feel very alone. Especially since in Australia the majority of the population are homophobic.
