@@Tomakia8 The outcome and some specific events in wrestling are scripted but for the most part the fight is made up/choreographed by fighters right there in the ring, yes it’s not a real fight but it still takes immense and even maybe more skill than actual combat sports, not to mention most wrestlers have a background in actual combat sports, just look a kurt angle, man was a gold medalist in olympic wrestling (the real wrestling not the “fake” one) Think of it not as an actual fight but more so a performance, it becomes easier to appreciate how hard it is then

The issue wasn't the stoppage or the deduction of points (it wasn't going to a decision anyway) the issue was that the Ref should have restarted them in the position they were in when he paused the fight. He should have put them right back in exactly the same way and Brock could have continued hammerfisting while Mir looked for a lock.

The amount of fights now where people land 3-5 shots to the back of the head in a 7-9 shot volley and the refs don’t bat and eye are mind blowing. Fighters need protection and refs need to be more vocal about the back of the head strikes.
@getsmellin8454
@getsmellin8454 2 роки тому

@maxb548 2 роки тому
@@WaqManVR If a guy drops his knee to the mat as another guy is throwing a knee to his face, and that knee lands after his knee hits the mat, regardless of intention, that’s an illegal knee to the face. Bending your head down is quite literally the defense to protect your face since the opponent is not allowed to strike to the back of the head. I’m not saying the fight should be stopped but, the refs don’t even say something as simple as “watch the strikes to the back of the head” unless it’s been happening for upwards of 2 rounds and consistently within each one. You’ll see a lot of fighters do this crazy uncontrolled scramble in later rounds rather than defend and protect the face until they have an opportunity to counter. That’s usually because they’ve been taking damage to the back of the head and are trying to avoid any more. There needs to be verbal warnings and point deductions early on for these things to get the fighters to really pay attention and not land those illegal strikes.

It was a hit to the back of the head, but his opponent turned his head. It’s not really Brock’s fault so he shouldn’t have gotten taxed for it. EDIT: I don’t know if he should be taxed or not according to the rules. What I’m saying is that if you can just purposely turn your head to give your opponent a penalty and reset the fight, than that should be changed. In boxing if they turn the head you don’t get taxed. EDIT 2: Thanks to Abbadon130 for clarification of the rule. Turns out the rule isn’t bad, just the ref.

I noticed a commenter named goatbaru said that wrestling is acting. I would agree to certain extent. However I want you to ”UKposts” John Stossel's interview with David Schultz, aka, Dr. D. Stossel was an investigative journalist, I think for ABC. Don't quote me on that. Anyways he was interviewing one of the famous top rated wrestlers at the time, David Schultz, aka, Dr D. Stossel mentioned that wrestling was a FAKE! Well Dr. D did not take too kindly to that question or accusation. So he ministered two open hand slaps to Stossel's head. Firstly the left side which knocked him to the floor and after stossel got up, the second slap to the right side which also knocked him to the floor. Stossel then immediately got up and hurried towards the exit. Stossel later sued, because one of the open hand slaps cause irreparable damage to Stossel's hearing. You can UKposts this incident, if you don't believe me, for your own entertainment 😆😅😂🤣😁

Brock also briefly played in the NFL for the Vikings before he was cut from the team... goes to show what kind of athletic MONSTERS play consistently in the NFL who's names we might not even know. 😳

Atleast he took that lost in stride, probably because he can see that he might have lost the first of his fights and battles, but he will most definitely win his war and become a true legend in the coming years.

Entering a new environment for the first time and going up against a legendary beast and not doing too bad, that's pretty good in my book. If it weren't for that first loss, he would've gone undefeated for a while.
