I've only ever heard one other song from these guys and out of nowhere I got this notification. This is exactly what I needed today. I skipped out on work for the past 2 days just because I had hit my limit. So much stress and anxiety in my life rn but I'm going back tomorrow and ill get back on my feet. Thank you.

4 years ago, I had a friend that loved country, but always loved rock, she was my best friend, my best mate, my angel from heaven who always had my back, and I always had hers. We met in high school, beginning of senior year. We would draw, hang out at my grandfather's backyard, and lay down on the grass, and just talk. We both never wanted to part ways. 1 year later, I'm working on the weekend, and she called me, and just said " we're going to prom, and we're gonna slow dance to our favorite country song. 😁" and I replied with "😳 HELL YEAH! 🤘🏻😝🤘🏻" we slow danced to "Remember When" by Alan Jackson. Then when we got back to her place, we saw "Gone Away" by 5FDP on the recommended page. We loved it. But then she said "if I pass away, I want you to play this at my funeral." It kinda made us a little sad, but we didn't think too much on it. A few days later I ask if we can go for a walk. We walk to the park, and I ask her if she will be by with me. (Not Merry, just be in a relationship with me) she grabs my hands, and says, "I would love to, but im scared of hurting you, I don't want there to a argument to where we don't want to be with each other anymore. I will have to think about it. I promise to give you a answer." We both continued back to her place, and we hung out. A week later I get a phone call.......it's her parents. They called me and told me that she died from a asthma attack, they called 911, but by the time they got there, there was no puls. I broke down, and I had to leave work, and meet with her parents to arrange a wake, and then a bariel. I didn't want to accept the fact that she was gone. I got back to the truck, and asked "why God? Why her?" My heart felt like it was ripped in half. A few days later at the wake, I played our prom song. "Remember When" by Alan Jackson. When I said my goodbyes at her grave, I left her angel statue at her grave. When I got home, I played "Gone Away" and then this song came on my notifications, and I EMEDIETLY thought "she would love this song." And then bursted into tears. This song will always remind me of her. Her name was Amelia. August 27th 2019. She was 19. My best friend, My best mate, My angel from heaven. Rest with God Amelia, you will always be in my heart. 😔🙏🏻❤

I'm 65 and most of my records are 60 thru 80s. This group is the exception. I've seen them 3 times. My daughters husband got me right up to the front. I got a pick and a drum stick. I had a great time. I'm fixing to get this as I write this. I'm glad records made a comeback. I always get the CD and record package. I love these guys. Blue October is another good one.

The lyrics in this song has always touched my heart. The artwork is beautiful, I liked the doors, windows or pages flipping in the video. To me it represents openings to my life because I've been grounded for to long now it's time for me to fly.

I can’t imagine hitting dislike on anything by FFDP. The new music in the last year has helped me push through one of my darkest and most difficult periods. I doubted myself and felt like the light at the end of the tunnel was infinitely far away. Having the relatable lyrics to come back to helped me feel just a little better each time. I graduate this week. ✊

Why does FFDP songs always hit home so hard, I spend 3-4 minutes just sitting there thinking about life.
