Tsukishima taught me ... that even if you know you won't win, it doesn't hurt to try. Hoshiumi taught me ... that the distance between want to do something and can do it shortens with training. Tanaka taught me ... that we can be insignificant compared to others but we don't have to waste time thinking about it. Tendo taught me ... that we have to follow our instincts sometimes. Ushijima taught me ... that our greatest flaw is our treasure. Bokuto taught me ... that our companions will be there for us but we must learn to carry on without them. Akaashi taught me ... that despite the pressure we must be as we always are. Kuroo taught me ... that we have to connect so that our life continues. This anime was so freaking inspiring and super motivating! I loved Hinata's character development and how everyone came together as a team. Even when they lost against Aoba Johsai the first time, they didn't give up. Instead, they worked on their strengths and weaknesses even more. Also, seeing Kageyama and Hinata become a team was the most satisfying thing ever. They really pushed through and supported each other. This anime took something as simple as volleyball and made it such an action packed adventure. I found myself rooting for their tournaments and feeling bad for their losses. This anime has a special place in my heart and it really motivated me for college. It truly shows that we are totally in control of our lives more than we think and we have plenty of time to grow.

Lets all admit that we all scream "TOBE FLYYYY HIGHHHH" at the beginning.

Most of the characters in this anime got to share their own story, struggles, and success. If you've read the manga you know how insanely good it gets right around the Spring Nationals. Not gonna spoil for anyone who hasn't read the manga but I'd say just one thing. Haikyuu is perfect. It cannot get any better and I'm so glad that I'm witnessing the greatness unfold step by step. The character development and the story pacing is just perfect. Long Live Hinata and Kageyama, LONG LIVE HAIKYUU!!

i think haikyuu was the first ever sports anime to actually inspire me to make changes in my life. i remember buying a cd just to watch the first season, and buying that cd was one of the best decisions i've made.
