That + I feel like he over extended towards the end. Goliaths didn't trade as efficiently once they were getting surrounded by probes. They'd have been massively out scaled by the large number of SCVs.

I totally agree, if hed known that the carriers were actually unable to completely fill up a final time with interceptors he might have hung on and made just a few more goliaths with the long distance mining. But he would have needed probably two full rounds of goliaths to fight the remaining interceptors, and Free would have used his remaining ~10 probes or so to long distance mine from the 3rd on the highground most likely. Hard to know.

I think it would balance things out very nicely. As it stands, once protoss gets carriers to a certain number, you have to be insanely good and lucky at the same time to win

That whole run was insane. Beat a very strong Protoss in Kal, then 3-1 Flash in the semis and then swept Jaedong in the finals.

I don't remember what ForGG played as before but I think the issue for Twitch in Korea was that they were getting charged more for bandwidth then AfreecaTV or something like that.

@@tdring10681 South Korea has a "sending party network pays" (SPNP) system, where ISPs get paid both by the customers they deliver traffic to and by the company sending the data (e.g. Twitch). This is in addition to the money the sender pays their own ISP to get an uplink to the internet. As a result, Korean ISPs have also begun forcing foreign content providers that same fee, or an even higher fee, which makes it unprofitable for them to operate in Korea. And it gets even worse. In South Korea, it is the responsibility of content providers to ensure durable access to their content, not the responsibility of the ISP. Apparently, even after Twitch reduced bandwidth in Korea (max 720p resolution), it was still losing money hand-over-fist. This was somehow supposed to reduce costs on the consumer, but the opposite has happened. South Koreans now pay much more than they did in 2016 for similar data, and their mobile data is among the most expensive in the world. Honestly just a terrible policy, and unfortunately Twitch is hardly the only service that's going to leave Korea or seriously degrade its quality there.

No, because carriers have 4 base armor, and interceptors are immune to valk splash damage. Pros have tried every theoretical counter, and mass gols is the best answer.

It's true, yes. So even after the remaster made valks usable at all, they're really only viable as a (supplemental) counter to zerg air mass.
