I play with a high fiber connection, and yet i get kicked out of the server. And it's annoying.

A nice way to help with internet issues is a rejoin option. I'm all for hatin' on quitters, but not everyone can help internet that decides to shit out on them.

In some cases, the bot is better than the player that left.

For the inevitable copers in the comments (who definitely aren't a part of "quitting" crowd), no, ten or fifteen minutes isn't a punishment for making everyone's experience worse, just because _you_ don't want to lose into a competitive game.

I tried to do one bot match with matchmaking turned off so i could complete an order. I have 20 latency and the game disconnected me twice. Internet isnt always to blame for disconnecting.

The real problem is that the moment you look away from the screen for a millisecond, you get kicked out of the game, and instead of dogging on people who have shit connections who want to have as much fun as anyone you could have suggested adding a join back button but no being a piss boy baby about it is much better The completion meter is a cool idea, but having it publicly shown "so we can publicly shame them" is counterintuitive. Increasing the quitting penalty will unfairly punish those who lag out of the game, which can happen even if your internet connection is good because Ubisoft's servers are awful, so they should instead increase the window for players to join in progress (up until the 3rd/final phase) and increase the rewards for those who stay for the entire match.

I have said it before on reddit, and I'll do it again here - if you leave, you shouldn't be able to play any other game till the game you left ends. It's either you join in again, or you wait till the match is done, and you get the penalty if you don't. Matchmaking is fucked up too, it's so nice to have two pro 1k+ rep nobushi players who parry every light in enemy team while HL in your team can do only light + light + heavy or celtic curse and doesn't even know how to block on 70 reputation of the hero.

I'm sorry, but that line about the servers never kicking you is absolutely false. I have a symmetrical gig connection, 1,000 Mbp/s down/up, that usually hovers between 15-20 ms ping and I've had plenty of instances where Ubi's servers take a fat shit and kick me from the game. It's not frequent, but happens about every 20-30 matches or so. Also, I've heard from multiple people that there are methods to actually force quit an entire lobby and I've had this suspiciously happen in games where we're winning or doing well, and the enemy team is throwing. I also know that the entire lobby got booted because we'd be matched up again after I start another match.

the best fix would to just increase the amount u cant play the game for each time u quit, first 15 min, then 1 hr, then 3, then 10 all the way until an entire week, people would be afraid to quit cuz then they cant play the game for a very long time

I mean if you join a game and 2 or more of your teammates are bots and the enemy team has already made significant advancement I usually end up leaving. That or if I'm well into a breach match and my team starts quitting and we have 2 or more bots

The solution you proposed reminds me of "The salt Mines" from Friday The 13th The Game, they had an invisible meter where if you do certain actions or leave early it would go down and if it got too low, you'd be put in lobbies of people who were like you

What baffles me the most are the people that quit at the END of a match. The game is over, you have literally NO reason to quit at the TAIL END of a match. All you do is jip yourself of your XP and steel, and for what? Getting back to qeue 3 seconds faster so you can ditch again? I feel like half these mfs could be 50 reps higher if they actually took their gains.

We all lag out sometimes but its not like its going to drop to a 80% quit rate from lagging out a few times. So innocent people wont be affected, just those pesky quiters

A big problem, I tested it, is that if you turn off your internet you won' t get any penalty because the game automatically kicks you out of the lobby. One solution I can think of would be forcing these people to join again the game that they left, so that the only way to leave a battle would be going trough penalty system wich must be increased in terms of sanctions. In the long run this would discourage quitters cause there would be no point in leaving in the first place

I think it should count as a loss for that player instead of when it would have a timer penalty. One time I quit a match that was legit just me and 3 bots vs 4 players. I had no chance of winning but the game still penalized me for it >.>

There’s a lot of emotions going on in this video . The issue is the matchmaking system . I solo queue a lot . Fighting a stack team when on par with your enemies but higher /slightly higher than your allies is challenging.

Just yesterday i was stuck in the Face-off screen for a solid 5-10 minutes, and the day before crashed from multiple matches. Can't be just a me thing either, i see It happen to enemies mid-fight all the time

To get out without punishment, you just need to disconnect the Internet cable and turn it back on. Then the connection to the servers is lost and the game does not consider this as leaving and does not give a 15-minute ban. They'll exploit it, obviously.

Agree with a lot of this but I do have a couple concerns when it comes to the vote to kick feature. It'll definitely be abused on certain circumstances, such as performance in the first fight. The first gank and the enemy gets yellow powers and your random team can just pin the blame on whoever they choose and vote and kick them out. Also another circumstance is character picks. For example, let's say you pick PK or Nuxia in a random dom lobby. Your random team doesn't like that very much and votes to kick because they wanted you to play a character that thrives off of 4v4 such as BP, Zerk, Shinobi, etc. The community already discriminates against certain chars because they can. I feel as though it will just give them too much power to control who can or can't be involved in that particular game mode.

In Paladins if you get disconnected by the game or close the game to quit and then boot it up again you'll get put into the same game as soon as the game boots up. Not a perfect solution but it stops people from quitting breach after one death and joining another one right away just to quit again.

I have a fluctuent internet, some days i got no problems, some i can't play a duel without disconnecting. I still wanna play but i don't want be a burden for my team mate so if my internet suck, i just stick to duals and i d only try a dominion or a breach if i see things are fine.

i can happily say i’ve never left a match to protect my K/D because literally who cares about an arbitrary number? it’s weird that people care so much about overall K/D when most other players won’t even see that stat unless they go out of their way to look at it- i used to leave games sometimes when i was just doomer-playing, just completely suffering, but now ( on the rare occasion i actually play ) even in those doomer-matches i do my best to just get through it and then stop playing for the day lmao. no reason to leave and make the other players’ game harder.

I’ve only put it under two conditions to leave 1. If every teammate DCs or Quits and I’m just 1v4ing a whole team with lvl2 bots. With For Honor not bothering to at least send anybody on my team. 2. Cheating/Lag Switching Openents

I would agree but a lot of people that actually do quit which is bad and new players getting shoved into a game isn't good because then those bad players will just slam new players then eventually get put in human lobbies that they'll just leave also people could just leave games in purpose to get into the boy lobbies for free wins

My opinion: heavier punishment for quitting, except for Duel and Rumble. One technique from another game is about to make the ban for quitting as heavy as quittings people do (more quittings - > heavier ban). Unluckily if you turn off and return on the game, the ban doesn't go up; Surrender button, one important thing: From the start absolutely NO. Making it available already from the start, Mainly in assault mode it might happean team votes surrender already after one death, as when it quits... It doesn't make difference. For example: After one death, the team votes surrender, "game's over". 2 minutes in a 20-30 minutes of match. We won't play until the end anymore. Let's make it available after a while, all the team has to vote YES to end up the match and don't make it in Duel, Rumble and deathmatch

Yeah leavers are annoying and funny thing is they can close the app and it won't effect their kd so it gives them a reason to leave.

They need to fix the skill based match making. I dont mind losing games if its a fair fight at an equal skill level. I dont leave many games but when i do its just a blatantly massive skill gap.

Like a rep 70 character that doesn't the same shit without change, Rep 70 zhanhu only throwing finisher heavy, never feinting even if you parry it constantly. rep 70 Kensei clearing breach minions not doing ANYTHING ELSE, like a bot. Most likely only in Breach, because there are many "players" who do 1 objective and nothing else. Like it's AI. Crazy to me... Breach is fucked...

There's a problem with this that games like dbd have to deal with, it's basically impossible for a game to tell the difference between a force quit and any kind of crash/disconnect, for honor's servers are laughably bad and being banned because the server disconnected you would be another nail in the coffin for this game

I will gladly take a lost when it is shown, it is a skill based game. HOWEVER, The Amount of Time I’ve been queued with literal Handicapped Room Temperature IQ Teamates, while the Enemy Team are probably Esports Tryouts. It’s infuriating when I have to carry my teammates I’m on top of leaderboard, and all my teammates are negative.

Sometimes I wish my teammates quit more and sooner. It's unbelievable how certain players are worse than level 2 bots. Guys wait until the match is lost and are 1/9 just to quit at the end. Also, people don't quit fun games, perhaps making the game better should be the main objective. Definitely people quitting is not the biggest issue. Especially coming from the guy that showed how to break breach with Ocelot recently.

There are k/d warriors in brawls who repeatedly get their ass kicked then leave before the match ends to boost their k/d. It's fuckin ridiculous

Slanderous i love you man, but shit internet is just how it is sometimes, people cant help when their ISPs decided to throttle them because their online too much or in my case i will randomly just lose connection, its rare though my wifi is pretty stable but still. Better option is a Join back option and not being able to matchmake unless you do join back and if you dont you get a 30 minute leave penalty that scales up and up adding 30 minutes each time they quit. That way bad connection players can still try

I agree I shouldn’t get punished because the three stack that was in my game. One of them got salty and left leaving me alone for the rest of the match. I’m been saying this for a while I think you should just be able to join matches whenever unless it’s let’s say 800 points, because people can’t join after 400 to 500 is just downright goofy, same thing for breach, or you can’t join after the first gate, make it where they can join all the way up to where the commander is, unless he’s at 70% or lower health. I use speech to text. Sorry if there’s any grammatical errors.

This is a bit toxic, but understandable. Honestly, I feel that we should focus on making games more bearable. I've played too many games where it is an absolute steamroll. One Team is all rolling fire flask and the other barely has their tier 1's. This is even worse if you join mid-match. Feats need a massive rework, so that the losing Team can do something other than get constantly nuked by tier 4's.

I always quit when my enemy team quits. I don't want to play bots. Then again I've never complained about quitters either. If they don't enjoy the game, they can gladly leave. Couldn't care less.

So instead of percentages because people will still leave- match cards. 10 match cards- incomplete one match -forgiveness 2 matches - forgiveness- 3 matches slightly penalty- and so on so forth. I put 2 forgive cards because anyone who has been ddosed before knows you get kicked out one and sometimes can re-que before going completely offline and not to mention Ubisoft has never been known for good servers. Slander makes them seem like nasa servers which I think kind of hilarious because I think we all know Bethesda has better servers and they’re not even good- previous fallout player. Slanderous is also very salty so hearing him get a little upseti spaghetti about the small things is why I tune in - albeit this an actual problem, considering I normally que against PlayStation quad stacks and my teammates leave without fail all the time and we’re left either 3v4 or in a lot of cases 1v4 because I can hold my own and stacks are never individually good.

Playing vs 4 stack is another problem. The MM doesn't even care, you get a game vs 4 stack with 3 other random people, nowhere near the skill lvl of the opponents.

I agree with most of what you say here but disconnecting is not automatically my fault. For example, I have good internet and generally there's no problem in any game. If the internet acts up, it's out of the blue and there's nothing I could've said or done to fix or change it. Anywho, I don't quit matches in FH. I don't see the point of quitting, sure a match can be annoying or just not fun at times but eh, every time I face heroes I suck at fighting against, it's just another learning opportunity.
