Dan who not dead that it showed that He trying to run from things that stresses him out cause they aren't in his life anymore. Jenny the main focus cause he really cares about her. @Solidier1
@Solidier1 Рік тому
@@bieateofan2251 True. But however gotta understand that Jenny was his best and only friend growing up. They were buddies. However Jenny grew up with her abusive father who sexualize her and didn't grow up with a mother nor siblings. Her journey towards s*x and drugs is her "running" to her father. Of course this took place during the 50s, 60s, and 70s. As much as I think Forest is better off without her, but at the same time she was really damaged and Forest like a best friend always there for her. Seems like whenever a guy comes into a woman's life who can fix her and yes this does sounds like simp talking, she always runs away from the nice guy and runs towards abusive guys who wants to use them as products. Including when it takes advantage of her kids. Which is really f* up. Forest is 100% innocent who he is. I was surprised by when they interview forest during his running that they didn't includes his other success like his shrimp boat career and other things as well. But I guess when this was made that they forgot about that part or the movie was out of order during shoot. However Forest really loved Jenny not for s*x nor as a simper as people would put it. But as a friend to the end. Running was the only thing forest was good at and he uses it to run away from his ghosts. We all been there. It's never easy letting go of someone you willing to die for. It is what it is bruh. But luckily for him he got his chance to be with Jenny to the end. Even though people would say that she only with him cause of her disease which I think she didn't know at the time or it was not as bad as it was before she married him. I don't know. Anyways I'm getting to deep into it. I'm sure you don't care at all and he needs to move on and stop being "beta" as some would put it. anyways have a good one fren

I remember thinking about the logistics of the running arc. He ran with no support, alone for most of it. There are many areas in America where there is hundreds of miles between civilization. He carried no food or water. Try running 100 miles without water, even worse in a desert area. I have heard of people replicating the "Forest Gump run" but they have support people in cars with food, water and camping gear.

@@haitolawrence5986ts just about doing something cause you feel like it and such you know. Just not having worries or anything and just “living” and experiencing life. He felt like running so he ran then he stopped when he felt tired simple as. You not supposed to feel any sort of emotion or take something away form it. Thats why it got so big. Which is why i find the fact you included the word sentimental to be just kinda wrong.

If he took off his shoes, he'd probably be fine. Humans used to hunt by running their prey into heat stroke, meaning we're built for the long haul. Blisters on our feet are from lack of necessity to be able to sprint across continental distances, but I'd imagine it'd still be doable. Running on hot pavement or concrete is a different story entirely.

Damn! He sure can run for a long time. But on one hand, doing that for three years, two months and two weeks, that's one way to get in shape or get your exercise. But on the other hand, right after things between him and Jenny turned out the way it did and he just went running. That was probably the only way he could express anger, sadness, frustration and possibly his way of venting.

Yeah sometimes, people just keep going if they're not told to stop or that they can't do something. I remember when I was 10, I rode my bike from Charleston to Hollywood(The South Carolinian one) by using the greenway and later riding along the sides of the highway including some bridges. I eventually made it to my grandparents house after like 4 hours of biking and when I was asked why I kept going I just said, "I dunno." The thought of just turning around, for some reason, never occurred to me. I'm lucky I wasn't kidnapped or run over.

All of this and his mother died his love of his life died and his best friend bubba, it’s such a great movie and the best thing about it is, Forrest wasn’t even smart enough to realise what a life he’s had he just did it because he wanted to do and is humbled.

Not necessarily no. There are people on record who are able to jog at a pace that’s comfortable enough for their body that they can continue to do so effectively indefinitely. Such as Dean Karnazes. @cascadedeclipse8240 Рік тому
I sort of agree with you there. However as LordofFaet mentioned he was jogging at a moderate pace. As the scene continues you can see Forest’s clothes change which could indicates he had stopped at a few places along his journey of traversing the American lands. Which would have given him time to rest and continue to run the following day. Plus he seems to be in better shape than the average person. He seems to have incredible endurance and the motivation to keep going. Then again who knows? Realistically speaking perhaps his heart would’ve gave up at the most random time despite being a pretty good runner.
