WHY FORTNITE COPY ROBLOX 😭

Most of it isn’t Fortnite themselves. It is the actual community copying these games. I can see what you mean by the square icons, but, apart from that, it isnt the actual devs.

If Fortnite got sued by the game creator from Roblox, thought it was like laughing at them and eating popcorn.

The reason fortnite is basically a copy of roblox is because the fortnite community make this type of content an fortnite does not have control of this

It isn't fortnite doing the creative maps, it's the creators that make the maps, just like UGC Program people make copy righted items that's not user friendly, and to be completely honest fortnite did probably take some inspiration from roblox sure, I don't think they meant to directly copy the platform

8:08 Kreek. It’s a glitch that’s been happening in creative since the new season. It’s basically when you join a creative map, your level resets to 0 and you level up your self all the way back up to what ever level you were. It’s really annoying

Remember guys that fortnite also make it so the players can create games so it’s not just epic games that make theses games. Also the community can have feedback and tell them to make new updates so sometimes it’s not always their decision.(btw I play fortnite so this comment is biased lol)

Lego is underrated

It does kind of feel on the nose with Fortnite creating a Roblox-style platform. I do want more competiton between Fortnite and Roblox because it makes Roblox do more events, and listen to the community. Competition is good.

Roblox : 2006 Fortnite : 2017

Man the whole reason Fortnite got popular is cause of the “crossovers” aka allowing people like deadpool or goku into the game as a character. Other than that Fortnite has done nothing BUT copy games for gameplay. Battle royale? PUBG was popular when it released. Lego? Just a worse version of Minecraft, let’s be honest. Creative? My god that just free excuses to put games that other people like into the game you like. It’s not just the Fortnite company too, it’s the players. EDIT: So I saw alot of people complaining about how “Roblox didn’t invent obbies” so I searched it it up and the term “obby” was made IN ROBLOX because saying obstacle course would cut off, meaning Roblox did invent the term.

An obby isn’t just limited to Roblox. If we look at the definition of obby, it’s a game of a obstacle course. It doesn’t specify that it’s professionally owned by Roblox or the players that create it. If it was they should have a trademark on it and Fortnite would be sued by now.

This is why I quit Fortnite. It’s not because they are copying (well some of it is but) Fortnite is slowly turning into Roblox or Roblox style game. It’s not about the main game mode anymore it’s now about the roleplay maps and other creative map games. Like Brookhaven rp (Fortnite version) they are taking games from Roblox and using them to try to get popular . Like no one cares about battle royale anymore. (Disclaimer!) Fortnite is not the one stealing the games the players who make the games are!

We shouldn't hate on Fortnite or Roblox, let's all have fun in games we love. This video is completely misleading, Fortnite didn't steal any games, Roblox didn't steal any games, it's the fanbase that is making clones of other games. It's true that the official Lego Fortnite team made the obby map but again, no one owns the word "Obby", it's just a more used synonym of parkour. It's true that the Fortnite UI looks identical to the one for Roblox, but you can't really call that stealing, taking reference is probably a better phrase. To those people who think Roblox can sue Fortnite for these reasons, they can't. They're not violating any legal issues, and even if they were to go to court, the official Fortnite team is not responsible for anything as it's the fanbase that are creating these so called rip off games.
