Many foreign fighters who joined Ukraine’s fight against Russia are grappling with the brutality of the war, as per reports. The US and NATO have been sending weapons to help Ukraine but have refused to deploy troops against Russian forces. President Zelensky set up the International Legion of Defense of Ukraine just days after the Russian invasion in February 2022.

I think its more along the lines, since they dont see any Ruzzian troops, is the fact Putler keeps bombing and shelling from OUTSIDE and above the country. Kind of hard to fight off the enemy when they are not in the same country as you are, to actually get to the troops that are! I wouldnt call Ruzzians stronger, not by a long shot. Putler is a war monger, its obvious all he's done the last 23 yrs is mass produce bombs and shells. He has how many troops? And when they are hand to hand with Ukraine who has 1/15th they have, they lose big time. Having said that, Ukraine is by far the stronger side.
@Icanseeyoupee

Eh, Ukraine was, and still is the weaker side by far. I think everyone already knew that no matter what we throw at it, there would be a stalemate. And time is against the Ukrainians because Russia has the numbers to keep pushing forward. I think the Legion was created to help, but ultimately show a fighting spirit to hopefully get planes and troops on ground. But that's still not happening, and the foreign fighters are probably realizing that Ukraine will be hung out to dry, especially with Biden in the chair.

It's simple but a delicate subject. Too many vets experienced a false war in the Middle east. Their experience was more of a military program against poorly armed adversaries. It was war, they did get shot at and they had friends die, but it wasn't a war of attrition and equal force from both sides. It's like going on a camping trip and claiming you are now an explorer, but Antarctica hands you your ass when you go there: climbed Rainier, but nearly died on K2. The other issue is: many believed the media, Russia would fall in weeks and that the people they were going to fight for wanted them there - many don't. In those republics, they are fighting for their survival against a Ukraine that if victorious in repelling Russia will leave them as political prisoners for life on their own land. It's a desperate war and Russia is very well armed, and seasoned by history. It's closer to Vietnam in scope, but X 5 because of the technologies of spying and amount of long distance weaponry can reach the once well protected and over watched by air superiority over enclaves Western militaries enjoyed in other countries. No such shelter exists in Ukraine! Time to come home, learn about why this is happening; watch who the winners in the west actually are; look at you own countries slowly decaying from an enemy within and wonder again of these clandestine globalists telling you to go help in the destruction of these two peoples in this proxy war.

@chrisstrawn4108 Рік тому
Some good points but not completely accurate. If it's a "proxy war" then it is very literally a kleptocratic regime in Russia v. the entirety of central and western Europe. It's easy enough to claim this is a Russia v America deal but this fails on several points. 1. Doesn't explain why the Nordic countries have requested to join NATO 2. Doesn't explain why Poland and Baltic republics have given so much and so freely to Ukraine. I could go on but as far as what might happen to the break-away members of the republics, who knows? One wonders what they are actually fighting for. The right to be subsumed into what, Russia? Something like how Southerners fought for "States' Rights" (whatever the F that is) in 1861-5? Such assertions are as facile as they are risible. Find one, even just *ONE* -- country bordering Russia that does not have some beef w/ Russia seizing their land: Iran (Georgia); Turkey (Crimea); China (parts of Mongolia); Poland, Finland, the Baltics etc. etc. etc. It's no more or less complex than this no matter what spin anyone attempts to impart.
@libertyinperil520
@libertyinperil520 Рік тому
@@chrisstrawn4108 I respect you for being rational, intelligent and reasonable. I will try to write a summary in what should be a book but only in a few paragraphs. Why NATO? Like Amway, an American multilevel distribution business, is a shoppers club. NATO is more an arms distribution network with a captured consumer base than a defensive coalition. Not that Russia is grossly different, they have enjoyed arms sales all over the world too, just check for AKs. But they have not setup alliances in Canada and Mexico either. They do not have socio-political goals for world domination as they once had. America and most of its satellite countries around the world do. This is the game for elites. It is a continuation of the exploitation of China's 1990's cheap labor market and global currency domination. Now, it's much larger in scope and enterprise. It involves a one world governance and frankly the growth of China and Russia are now more obstacles than easy targets for exploitation. So, they must be eroded. Beginning before 2014, the stage was prepared for this eventual ordeal. A neutral Ukraine would have presented no threat to Russia and it would trade successfully with all countries around it. It would form part of the expansion China wants into Europe overland and that means big growth. But it became militarized with enormous support - the basis of all proxy conflicts. Do you remember the plane that was mysteriously re-routed over an active AA zone in 2014? That was a stage set design. Right after that, we had a bad guy and a good guy. Without knowing anything else, we knew that for sure. Then came the 9 years of provocation: sniper and artillery killings in the Donbass. No effort from the US to stem this growing irritation. Even at the last hour in 2022, not a single effort was made to reassure Russia that missiles would not be on their border. And the world wonders why? The two republics (DPR and LPR after losing thousands of people mostly civilians, begged Russia to intervene. But CNN didn't share that with you. Oliver Stone tried, but his documentary was largely buried. then came the predictable - Russia attacks and the stock market responds. (Check pricing on defense stocks, december 2021 until recently). Sadly, this entire game is so predictable, I've reached a severe level of boredom with this proxy war. Nevertheless, I fear it will escalate beyond the limits of our globalist masters designs. Might not be so bored if that happens.

The dust settles to a few Russian tanks and BTRs burning and a bunch of dead Russian infantrymen. Then the artillery starts, the foreign fighters take even further losses and they fall back. Then they have to do it again later in the day. And then again the next day. And with every engagement they take losses, and everytime they win an engagement they have to bear the fact that they didn't even put a dent into the overall strenght of the Russians. The Russian soldiers are not especially fearsome individually (nor always terrible), but they *are* capable of marching in after artillery flattens everything. Even great soldiers in direct combat, become passive cannon-fodder in massive artillery battles. Incoming artillery doesn't care if you are great sniper or very skilled at urban warfare - you are just meat grinder materiel. On both sides. Iraq was considered a formidable military before America completely moped the floor with it. Saddam Hussein had one of the top 10 "strongest" militaries with around 1 million military personnel. Its more about low tech war vs high tech wars. If America is involved the war is over in the matter of 24 hours due to technological superiority. Russia's military is vast, but its definitely stuck in the stone ages. So is Ukraine's (with the exception of western backed weapons and training given before the invasion since 2014). This is why we see old school trench warfare almost entirely fought with artillery.
@anatoliismikhula9501

@@illicity2383 No. Iraq and Ukraine are completely different theaters of military operations. For example, the entire North of Ukraine is populated in the middle of the forests. There are many rivers and swamps, you can only move on roads, you drove off and the tank sank or got stuck. Hiding in the forest from satellites and drones is not a problem. The Russians simply did not have the coordinates to strike the Ukrainian troops, and the Ukrainian troops were received from the local population. It was enough to take a photo with geolocation. About the trenches is a modern war, because maneuver ended with the invention of cumulative ammunition. I'm from Ukraine.
