Got to Mom's house a little too late to find the young bunch of peafowl making the rounds. Also, I saw Sweet the Man-eating squirrel for the first time since she "attacked" me. So every squirrel I've offered my hand to takes a nip the first time and realizes I'm not food, even though they smell it on my fingertips. None have broken the skin. Not Sweetie. First time she took a nip, she started tugging trying to get some meat! She let go and we tried the exercise again, and she chomped again! Other squirrels haven't done this. A few more rounds of this and she wasn't learning so I got out of there with all my bits. Over a week passed, but as I was leaving Mom's I saw a squirrel in the tree in Mom's yard and I called to it and got out and she ran over to me. So we spent the next 15 minutes fooling around together. She lived up to being a Sweetie this time except for the one nip you see on camera. I think she's the sibling of the one that fell out of the tree at when the trimmed it last October.
