This song FEELS like the pain of truly loving someone and knowing you will one day lose them. Knowing that life is truly awake when lived in love of someone, and knowing how unbearably precious it is. 😢 I first experienced this feeling second hand when I read Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials', an 11 year old on the cusp of 'waking' to the world of adults. I (re)discovered it first hand as an adult years later. The book and the song are extraordinary. They really see the core of love. Not an accident they bring together again the earthly and the divine. This life we have, here, is infinitely precious.

I had a really rough night yesterday (maybe the roughest in the last 4 months) and then I decided to watch a movie. I picked it accidentally (or not?) but it was one of my best decisions given the circumstances. I know it's a cliché but self-love is so important. So damn important. I've been hurting myself so many times and was wishing to be rescued by another human being and of course it doesn't work that way. I don't really know how to have more compassion towards myself but I've improved. Or I hope so. There are so many of us struggling, keep up the good work, beautiful people. Purge the soul. Make love your goal. Even if it should involve yourselves as well.

I wood say to me it is = to the 1. if this is ur way.
The last scene in "All of us strangers" together with this song open up something deep in me a deep sadness - I cry every time this comes to mind not to mention listing to the song.

Who would have thought, Frankie would bring us such an unbelievable beautiful ballad, after Relax and Two Tribes?
@katesmith1534Рік тому
You soo right x
@richardtuson605Рік тому
Two tribes was actually a great song with a strong anti war message. I like up tempo music and ballads. They did both to me and the top level but the ballad stays in your heart ♥

@@richardtuson605 And soo many covers too ..... All beautiful renditions .... The original takes some beating!! Although, Dalton Harris and James Arthur did a great second .... xx

I saw this video for the first time as a kid in a tv-show where you could call in and wish music videos. I was probably 7 or 8 years old. It was around christmas time. Ornaments in the house. All the christmas smells. A lot of christmas anticipations.. I was watching the tv-show and all of a sudden this video comes on. And for some reason my little jaw dropped. I was completely swallowed and mesmerized by this song and this video. And i remember i felt so moved by it. It’s crazy what music can do. I was a little kid. And still to this day, this is like a christmas song to me. I heard it around christmas time that one evening watching tv when i was a little kid. I am 28 now, and every year around christmas i have to look this up. This song is so powerful to me and it has a special place in my heart. Some songs just etch themselves to you and become a part of you. Merry christmas everyone ❤

Watched All of Us Strangers last night, it resonated with me on multiple levels. The portrayal of societal homophobia in the flashbacks, though painful to watch, mirrored my own experiences growing up in a time when being gay was considered wrong. 😭😭

Wow! One of the best songs ever. This beautiful song shows the story of the birth of Jesus and God's unfailing, unconditional love. This is so pure and emotional.
The words of the song don't show that. It is only the video.

My dad used to tuck us in at night and before closing the door say to us : “I’ll protect you from the hooded claw, keep the vampires from your door” and it always brings back a happy childhood memory hearing this song and knowing that’s where he got the phrase from.

Frightening. Why would you even tell a kid these things exist?! I used to get story time, Enid Blyton’s Faraway Tree was my favourite. Always used to fall asleep to that, full of fantasy and imagination, travelling on a mystical plain. Certainly didn’t get fear instilled at me from an early age! 😂 Funny how you see that as a good thing. ✌🏽
@rhino2692 роки тому
@@DanFernandesBenficaSaint it’s no different to saying night night don’t let the dogs/bugs bite to a child. It was obviously meant as a term of endearment and a reference to the song haha. Not intended to frighten. In fact I was comforted by it. He was saying he’d protect us from the hooded claw and the vampires.
