FILM DESCRIPTION:
Years ago, Tommy Jarvis (Thom Mathews) killed infamous hockey-masked murderer Jason Voorhees (C.J. Graham), and the intensity of the experience has landed him in a mental institution. To end his torment and achieve a level of closure, Tommy escapes from the hospital and heads to the graveyard where Jason is buried, intending to dig up the body and cremate it. But, before this total annihilation can occur, a freak electrical accident resurrects Jason from the dead, and the terror begins anew.

I love how they incorporate comedy in this film. I think it shows that they don't take the film too seriously, which makes it more fun to watch. One of the best films in the franchise, in my opinion.

@Lakeshore Strangler After the disaster that was Part 5 they had to try and do something different. Adding humor was a smart choice for this installment. The one I find highly overrated and downright terrible is The New Blood and not just for the completely butchered kills thanks to the MPAA. Not a single person in that film was even borderline likeable and I was actually happy they all got killed off. Even Tina was annoying AF.

Jason Lives was one of the best sequels in the series, bridging the intense slasher atmosphere with some comedy, suspense and action. I absolutely love how serious Jason was during the movie, while having one of the strongest comebacks of all time, he was strong as hell, and terrifying in the stalking sense. AND WHEN HE WENT INTO THE LAKE AFTER TOMMY WITH THE INTENSE MUSIC PLAYING, GODDAMN.. Jason will always be my favorite slasher

This Jason was fired and I don't know why. THIS IS THE BEST JASON OF ALL THE FILMS. His walk, while a walk is powerful, fast, and he covers so much ground that it makes catching a runner realistic. I've ALWAYS felt this is the best Jason. I'll never understand why they fired him.

It's interesting the people he's killed because not all of them would be squeaky clean in life. I have a feeling that some of them had a future as villains, out to exploit others for power and corruption, while others were genuinely good people who really didn't deserve their horrible fate. So yeah, Jason doesn't discriminate when it comes to his slaughterfests, but it's still heart-wrenching seeing some of them fall to his blade.
