Only trained karate for a bit in Dagestan when he was younger than 12. All of his MMA training was done in England including wrestling.

Almost each UFC division got its Dagestani contenders, Zabit, Islam, Imavov, Ankalaev, and some promising prospects, like Mokaev and Umar. Shouldn't even mention Khabib, as he is retired. There are Dagestani contenders and champs in Bellator, PFL, and ONE. A reminder that Dagestan's population is just 3 mln...
