Raymond Ford is a sick talent. Am a bit of an old timer so don't want to do the whole "walked to school barefoot up a mountain" kind of thing but for as talented as a lot of these fighters are today, the defensive skills are so far behind their offense. Ford looks like he could develop into a cross between Pernell Whitaker and Meldrick Taylor offensively but Ford took more punches flush in round 2 than Pernell did in his whole career and Taylor, though in my opinion not as gifter defensively as Whittaker, didn't until he faced Chavez (in my humble opinion the goat). Can draw parallels from other sports today as well. NBA, MLB, NFL has loads and loads (and loads) of talent, but a lot of these players today have gotten away from the fundamentals and focus on becoming complete players in their relative sport. The fact that the shift works so well in MLB is probably the best example. a lot of these guys make 30-50k an AB and can't hit the ball the opposite way or lay down a bunt? Jackie Robinson and Joe DiMaggio would make 100 million a year today lol. You can talk all about the size and speed of today's athletes but sometimes it hinders instead of helps their development.

This was a great fight. Before george started using that check hook over and over. I feel like teo wasnt throwing enuff once he caught him. Almost as if he was expecting him to fall. George a lot of heart, a lot of will power, iq kicked up at a great moment, and it was a fight.
