I can barely believe that a professional boxer can be put into 6 round contest with such an obvious lack of conditioning. Dangerous stuff.
@Lyricistnz9 місяців тому
Sometimes the other guy punches the conditioning out of you. Fighting is a demanding sport.
@ripavah5 місяців тому
I’m a 6”6 heavyweight myself. This looks like bad oxygen intake. I have a fucked up nose and really can only potshot in sparring. I’m out for 4 months rn getting the same surgery Dricus Du Plessis got before the Whittaker fight. Look at this guys nose. It’s fucked. There’s a limit you can reach with small nostrils/deviated septum. You can even get KOs with it like this guy, but after a few fights you’ll pay the price.

@@LyricistnzIt's a disgrace to the old fighters that trained their asses off to withstand punishment for 15 grueling rounds. Gassing after 4 rounds is unacceptable. 6'8" and no Jab what so ever. Awful

No jab, no left hook, no defense and no gas tank. You should fire your trainer
@roberthaydon15559 місяців тому
Matty Gassed, needs some conditioning work - sure he will learn and come back stronger. Hopefully this loss will help him develop further.
@jakenelson48269 місяців тому
Totally agree. Nothing wrong with his chin, or heart. He kept trying despite an empty tank--but he now needs to prove he can fix his lack of stamina.
@jakenelson48269 місяців тому
@@stealththecrow2969 You make some relevant points, for sure, like the body punching taking it's toll on Harris. I don't think he lacks speed, though. But like you hint at, time will tell how right or wrong we are. What impresses me about him is his coordination (but maybe not from round 3 onwards in this particular fight!).
@johnlove88879 місяців тому
@@jakenelson4826 False. When you take clean shots on the chin and you have poor punch resistance, it drains your gas tank/stamina.

What a suprise to me and Matty. At first I thought, what a prospect. Like Jack Johnson reborn. Then Thought Wake up. You're too chilled out. Just goes to show how tough these Ukrainians are. I'm sure he'll learn.
@Lyricistnz9 місяців тому
😅 Jack Johnson 😅😅
@kufujitsu2 місяці тому
Matty has a lot to work with, but, yeah, you pulled yourself up on the Jack Johnson talk, which is admirable. But the future for Matty looks good - very good mobility & coordination - he needs to be in much better condition though, if he wants to make an impact on the sport.
@didiervandijk97139 місяців тому
I love this when the underdog beats the Hype.
@tubetales17982 місяці тому
He didn't do his roadwork, and got too comfortable by thinking he could breeze his way through guys in 2 or 3 rounds. He learnt the hard way. Needs to train harder than he is currently doing, not a good look by gassing in such a terrible way in so few rounds.
@ainsleyshand76909 місяців тому
No reason why sombody that young should not be match fit when this is your full time job when our team boxed for lemington and when l boxed for warwick for jacky turpin our team was fit boy so no reason for it should be fully fit

Harris reminds me of a slightly bigger version of James "Quick" Tillis - : gifted, athletic, but he just doesn't know how to get the best out of his ability. It's still very early in his career, I know. He needs to work out how to unleash his punches whenever his opponent crosses that imaginary line to get closer. If Harris won't do that, his opponent will get very confident, Like Dovbyschchenko did in this fight. Harris should watch similar body types who were stand out boxers - so that he can learn the fastest track to improvement - in my opinion, if he wants to learn how to apply defense & offense equally effectively - for a tall fighter - he should check out Carlos Monzon's fights.... But regardless, I loved Dovbyschchenko's demeanour in his corner. He was alert & responsive, & you could tell that he came to win.

Yeah, Kostya takes Matty to school. Didn't Matty realize what kind of a dark horse every fighter from Kharkov is! They NEVER throw in the towel, fight till the very end, like the Japanese warriors! Stubborn and motivated the guys like Dovbyshchenko can become a nightmare for many rising and shining stars!

You don't think a fighter can improve their cardio 😅
@sam160719979 місяців тому
@@aarondaley1577 I certainly hope so, he looked good rounds 1 and 2. His previous 4 fights had only lasted 6 minutes, I think he thought he was going to just blow him away, the Ukranian boxed clever. I'd hope he employs someone with good cardio knowledge, if so he's a good prospect.

@thomaskendell81469 місяців тому
I mean I understand where you're coming from because a lot of those punches weren't even landing but Harris only has himself to be he was letting him tee off on him at will and was completely exhausted it was only a matter of time before he'd have ended up on his back
