This is the most moving match I have ever seen ! This was like a pure emotional rollercoaster. I was born in France and I'm a big fan of Alexis Lebrun and his great technique. I also like how calm and composed he remains. But man, Truls Moregaard at first had a really though time and I could feel the pain in his eyes. Almost a humiliation in the second match. Besides all the incredible pressure he faced, deep down I feel that Truls still believed in himself and stayed focus besides all the negative emotions and stress he must have been going through. I really felt joy for Truls when he gradually regained control of his though process, strategies, and made us see who he really is and how massively fierce he can be. For me, this is the soul of a real table tennis player. Truls did not get it easy but he did not let himself get too discouraged, worked really hard, gradually climbed his way up and eventually won the victory that he really deserved. Truls reminds me a lot of Jan Ove Waldner in the way we plays. Such a great euro style and technique. Waldner was a real hero for me during my teenage. I still have my Donic J.O. Waldner 2.0 rubbers from 1997 (these rubbers were my favorites, better than the Yasaka Mark V, and I wish Donic did not stop selling the J.O. Waldner rubbers... DONIC, PLEASE BRING BACK THE J.O. WALDNER RUBBERS ! I loved them with Tibhar Rapid Clean speed glue). Well, this was such an epic game. Two of the best players I've seen, who both deserve great success and who really delivered one of the most entertaining show I've seen in a very long time. I wish both players the best of success for the future ! Keep up the great spirit !

THE DIFFERENCE IN THIS MATCH WAS THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF THE WINNER. Alexis, somewhat better technically and physically than Truls. BUT TRULS FAR BETTER THAN ALEXIS CONTROLLING HIS EMOTIONS AND STRESS DURING ALL THE MATCH. Well deserved victory of Truls. Alexis and French table tennis are in the top of the world but their top members still have to learn to control their emotions and stress much better that they do it up to now.

ITTF needs to clean up the sideways service toss. The problem is that the judges allow this 45-degree toss. Then the recreational players watch this and think it's ok, and then at the REC you see players tossing it COMPLETELY sideways and who's to tell them it's not allowed
