My grandpa didn't have to serve in Vietnam because he literally couldn't see the broad side of a barn. He's legally blind.

Wow he dodged being drafted so interesting and unique

I don’t see why you’re throwing a fit. Dodging the draft is badass. But you hate freedom and love government tyranny so you would rather send your son off to step on a landmine for oil money.

Nothing shows that a war shouldn't be fought better than the fact no one is joining. If you have to force a draft, you picked the wrong war.

@@justarandomguy117good philosophy in theory but it doesn’t hold up in reality. The Americans conducted a draft during the Second World War also due to shortages and during the civil war on both sides. So your comment falls flat on its face.

@@annatarlordofgifts5767 ww2 was due to the great depression. They got drafted and it was probably the best thing that could've happened to them. The civil war? Shouldn't have happened in the first place. One side shouldn't have existed in the first place. Wouldn't have needed a draft in the first place had one side not been a bunch of slavers with their panties in a twist. Overall, the draft is a sign that the war isn't worth fighting for in the first place. Vietnam was perfect evidence of that.

@@justarandomguy117 I’m glad to know you think that slavery shouldn’t have ended ( a direct result of the civil war, which according to you shouldn’t have happened). Factually your statement about ww2 is just wrong. Considering the draft wasn’t instituted in September 1940 The depression ended in 1938 soooooooooo the facts don’t fit your assessment
