I don't listen to canned homilies any more, I go home and listen to a Fulton Sheen talk or homily.

Thank you very much again. So very drramatic and powerful aas he brings alive the depths of this event. Always new things to be learn e.g. the seating position at the table... from this scholarly bishop who spoke to the heart of so many people as he brought them into a closer relationship with Jesus in all aspects of His life

Oh, my gosh, hearing what Archbishop Fulton Sheen said about Judas not being able to say "Lord" and instead said "master", reminded me of a video I watched with Dr. Taylor Marshall and Jesse Romero, who wrote the book "The Devil in the City of Angels"! Mr. Romero said that as a rookie policeman in Los Angeles he worked in the Los Angeles County jail where some of the worst offenders and serial murderers were held. Having heard Corinthians 12 read at Mass the day before, the next day he offered 3 of the worst offenders a delicious meal if they could say "Jesus is Lord". He said they tried but NONE of them could say it!! It was very frightening actually. That interview is on UKposts. SUPERNATURAL BREAD 🥖: Do you think 🤔 that when Jesus Christ taught us to pray 🙏🏽 and inserted “give us this day our daily bread 🥖”, He was referring to normal food❓ No! He was referring to the Eucharist‼️ The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains: The usual Greek word for “daily,” hemera, is, after all, used elsewhere in the New Testament, but not in this instance. Why did St. Matthew and St. Luke feel compelled to create a new Greek word to accurately reflect the words of Jesus? They most likely had to use a new word to faithfully translate a novel idea or a unique Aramaic word that Jesus used in His prayer. What was Jesus’ new idea? Although there are multiple levels of meanings to epiousios, Jesus is making a clear allusion to the Eucharist. “Our daily bread” is one translation of a word that goes far above our basic needs for sustenance, and invokes our supernatural needs. St. Jerome translated the Bible in the 4th century from the original Latin, Hebrew and Greek texts to form the Latin Vulgate Bible. When it came to the mysterious word epiousios, St. Jerome hedged his bets. In Luke 11:3, St. Jerome translated epiousios as “daily.” Yet, in Matthew 6:11, he translated epiousios as “supersubstantial.” The root words are: epi, meaning “above” or “super;” and ousia, meaning “being,” “essence,” or “substance.” When they are read together, we come to the possible translations of “super-substantial,” “above-essence,” or, in effect, “supernatural” bread. This translation as supersubstantial is still found today in the Douay-Rheims Bible. Taken literally, our supersubstantial bread is the Eucharist. (CCC 2837)

I assume "Lord" is "Kyrie" and "master" was "rabbi", as rabbi means master in the sense of teacher, while kyrie means master in the sense of owner or leader.

THE WORD OF GOD: The word of God (scripture - Luke 24:27) cannot be accurately interpreted without the Word of God (Jesus Christ-John 1:1). It is imperative to discern between the word of God and the Word of God because the word (scripture) of God can only be properly interpreted with the guidance from the Word (Jesus Christ) of God. By the way. EVERY born again follower of the Lord Jesus Christ is a saint. All catholics are lost so they cannot understand the scriptures. The catholics don't have the indwelling Holy Ghost. They are prohibited from saying ' I am saved ' because that is the sin of presumption isn't it ? They have to stay in bondage to the vatican cult and it's priests. Such a shame.
