Lost my mum in 2015. 9 years in January. I was lucky wnough to have a beautiful loving mother, she struggled with addiction but mantained her beauty right until the end. I've realised that there is no getting past it, this song is beautiful and really hit me. She was my inspiration, and still is i guess! To anyone going through the same dont try to get over it, youre not meant too. To those who are lucky enough to still have a loving mother, remember how blessed you are ❤

This song raises pain I buried deep. Reading the comments of all the people who lost their mother too just breaks me completely. I will just leave a comment because I know my brothers will probably never find it as a story of inspiration to those who won’t let struggle have the last word. Life was severely unkind to both my parents growing up, I used to hear stories from their relatives and break into tears. I wish I hadn’t learnt what they went through because maybe I wouldn’t resent God for it. They met in war fighting to liberate Rwanda 1994, they had three kids. They both fought hard to give their kids a better life but fate was ever so unreasonable. Mother passed away in 2015 after 7 years fighting cancer, father was kidnapped a year ago in a foreign country by its government haven’t heard from him since. I wont be alive at the end of this week but the silver lining is that the other 2 kids are well and chasing their dreams. DR
