I swear this is the hardest music video ever lmao. I was 12 when this dropped, and I still keep coming back to it every couple months. These things happen did such a good job at making the listener feel like a cool dude who just made it big, and all of the thoughts and feelings that come with that. Such a swagger to it. Lots of people love to hate on G but you’d have to lie to yourself by saying this isn’t one of the best rap records ever. Christophs amazing and unique production with Geralds smooth delivery and story telling has made this album never get old to me.

This song is so nostalgic… I remember bumping it not long after it came out, I was like 15 years old. I’d get out on the local track, put my headphones in and this song on. As soon as the beat dropped I’d take off, run about a mile or two, and leave my frustration and depression in the dust for a little while. This song always made me feel powerful and untouchable. Reminded me to just keep pushing on at a time when I needed a fire under my ass to keep me moving. Definitely up there with Mac Millers BDE (Best Day Ever, bonus edition) as far as motivational and nostalgic songs go for me. Both tracks take me back in time.
