Fun fact: (G)I-DLE or (yeoja)I-DLE G means girl Yeoja (it may not be written correctly sorry I'm not Korean) means woman So they play on this meaning saying instead "Just me I-DLE"

It also sort of surprises me that people are hating on soyeon’s rap, even saying it was google translate. I think they missed the entire point. “I don’t wanna play this ping pong” is a direct reference to hyuna and dawn’s song, which is all about their love. The next line “I would rather film a tik tok” is a very lighthearted way of saying she’d rather focus on herself, and do whatever dumb thing she wants. This is reinforced in the very next line “your mom raised you as a prince but this is queendom right?” The whole way this verse flows and her tone, it came across to me as almost mimicking the ditzy girl she’s expected to be. “I like dance, I like my friends” is cutesy girly, but then “sometimes we swear without cigarettes” is a little more like, oh, wait huh? Then the conclusion: “I like to ** while drinking whiskey, I won’t change it what the hell!” The whole verse is her tonally, lyrically, and expressively breaking out of the expectations that come with being a woman in an almost teasing way. And yet people are mad she said tik tok. I don’t get it.
