Yeah, the similarities in their personalities that makes them variety queens probably has helped them become good friends quickly. While the scandals around how the voting was done on the Produce series are sad, one very good thing came of the Produce shows and Queendom as well. They tore down a lot of inter-company barriers. When Shuhua, Tzuyu, Yiren, Elkie, Yuqi are together they speak Mandarin. But between Yuqi and Shuhua, they speak Korean so therefore Yiren and Yuqi it will be mostly Korean with some Mandarin when they don't want Koreans to know what they're talking about! You can talk about people or talk private things and they won't what you're saying. The benefits of knowing more than one language!

I believe yiren speaks in Mandarin with yuqi, because she said she feels lonely easily, so speaking on her native language may bring her good feelings
