Genesis has released the GV60 Magma, marking a completely new level of hardware. The Magma Performance Program will reach every model in the range. The GV60 appears to be just the beginning and comes with "advanced battery and motor technology."
Moreover, it has unique exterior details, unique suspension tuning and thermodynamic considerations. It's wider and lower than the regular GV60, and the air intake helps cool the battery. The interior features bucket seats, leather upholstery and double diamond stitching.
The GV60 Magma is accompanied by the G80 Magma Special, an "improved version of the G80 with improved driving performance." Interestingly, Genesis remains silent on exactly how much more power and performance this new Performance Program offers on the GV60 and G80.
Genesis hasn't offered a production timeline for the GV60 Magma, but Donckerwolke said in a presentation that the car would arrive "soon." But the concept shown at the New York event appeared basically ready for production. Genesis has done an excellent job creating a credible luxury car rival, and we're curious to see what the Magma cars will be like.
