Furina’s demo music slaps SO hard, it has that perfect mixture of 40s swing, the French vocals, and classical. It’s just so good. Even without Yu Peng Chen, hoyomix still been eating and understanding the assignment EACH time.

Dimeng Yuan has a fun approach to his piece from what I notice while Yu-Peng Chen focuses on the theme and serious feeling that the character is about Both are good, maybe they can just alternate depending on the character given

Yu-peng Chen didn't actually make this specific song, but is credited as the composer because he composed the melody. Xin Zhao actually arranged the song and made it sound the way it does, and credits YPC because he used his melody. Just to clarify, Yu-peng Chen didn't write Novatio Novena.

@@SlippersgobrrOne way to visualise it could be... imagine transcribing Lyney's leitmotif (aka the distinct melody in his demo) onto a musical staff, then flip the whole thing *upside-down!* Then you'll get-with a few slight alterations-Lynette's leitmotif. It's as if the two are water reflections of each other ♫

@@roxas5071 Also in Lynette's Demo, there is a motif of Day and Night, which is represented by her running _upside down as the clock strikes midnight._ Also, the twin's constellations are black and white cats respectively, which parallels with the Day and Night theme in Lynette's Demo and the fact that they are both Arkhes!!

I know, right? Compared to the standard character demo compositions, Furina's was an entire bloody *cinematic production* of its own! Mon dieu- the theatrics, the flair, the ✨pizazz✨ Was so surprised by the quality (and I mean...come on, electro swing). Definitely one of my favourites ♫ ♪

Before Fontaine released, there was some schmegegge speculating that the soundtrack for Fontaine would be underwhelming as it went with known European symphonic inspirations. People suspected it was just going to be that along with some jazz and generic French folk music. So I am so glad that there's a piece, for Furina no less, that goes against the grain while still embracing Fontaine's inspirations with very French style electroswing.

@@VijayMarshall Nope. "Se mettre sur" means "mettre sur soi" (lit. "dress with" or to "wear something on yourself"). 31 read as "trente et un" is a worn out version of the word "trentain" that changed due to the way people pronounced it. A trentain was a fancy dress.

furina's demo theme, "se mettre sur son trente-et-un !", directly translates to roughly "to put on one's thirty-one", but is a popular expression meaning to get dressed up/prepare for a big occasion! additionally, the french language often has a space before a few different punctuation marks, exclamation marks included :) another awesome collection of character themes for vol. 4!! will definitely be listening to this for the next while

The next Stellar Moments Volume to come out next year will start with Navia's theme and end with Murata's theme. It feels like we are zooming through the regions; Sumeru doesn't even feel that long ago.

People always talk about character themes, and rightfully so - they are all wonderful. But man, these outfit teaser tracks are always such bangers! I'm glad I was reminded of that while listening to this album. Happy it's finally out!

Wandering theme got me levitating Faruzan theme is also good af. Althathim is a great bop too. Baizhu is beautiful as well Chinese music at its finest. Neuvillette got me singing his chorus truly a tragic yet redemptive theme. Furina them brings me so much joy despite the archon suffering.

Furina’s demo being called “Se mettre sur son trente et un” is like so iconic what 😭 Idk if its also an expression in english but in french when let’s for example you’re inviting someone to a party and you tell them to “be on their 31” (literally) or “look 31” in other words is like telling them to look really elegant/free/young. (ARCHON QUEST SPOILERS) Shows how Furina is trying to be herself now and be happy as a human and forget her pain 🫶

The equivalent expression in English is to be dressed “to the nines”. It can be used for other situations but it’s mostly used say someone is dressed as well/extravagantly as possible.
