As a Brazilian I have the feeling that the relationship between English and German is like that of Portuguese and Spanish: kind of alike but absolutely not

I just started learning German and it's a fascinating language. Some of the alphabet is pronounced the same as in French. Makes it a little easier for me. It's cool that the letter Y almost sounds the same as in Italian. German sounds like a mixture of English and French in my opinion.

I’m English, my mum knows some German, she taught me how to count to 20, the alphabet, months of the year and she is teaching me a lot more! All under a day or two. My dad also knows how to speak some German! When I’m fluent I’d just love to speak German at random hehe 😂

These lessons and the way they are organized is by far the best resource I have found anywhere!! I live in Switzerland and take a live class every day, plus I use two apps (Memrise and Drops), but I get so much more from just sitting down and watching Sunny's German Lesson!! Thank you Sunny. ☀
