День томуWhere do you even begin to look a The Loh Collection!? Located in the heart of Germany, the Nationales Automuseum recently opened and features a staggering display of the most incredible cars in the world. 2 CLK GTRs, Schumacher F1 cars, classic race winners, it's jaw dropping!
With approximately 150 cars on site from a pre-war line-up, to displays of motorsports cars from many eras including multiple Formula 1 championship winners, there's nowhere else quite like it. Having opened in July 2023, the museum has already welcomed 40,000 visitors but somehow still feels like it is yet to be fully discovered on a global level. Instantly shooting up high on my recommended list of must visit automotive locations in Germany, there are multiple halls featuring different cars in great presentation layouts.
After previously showcasing a 24H of Le Mans exhibit to celebrate 100 years of the famous race in 2023, the new Ferrari exhibit is currently being set up ready to open on 23rd March 2024. This is where we find the 'Big 5' alongside one of the podium 330Ps that dominated at Daytona 1967, the original 250S that won Mille Miglia in 1952, and cars from the likes of Niki Lauda, Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen.
Heading via the Pre-war collection, we move towards the banked curve featuring some exceptionally special cars from throughout the years. Highlighted for me, the Loh Collection includes not only the original CLK GTR prototype/press car, but also the CLK GTR Roadster prototype too! Sitting in the same area you can also find the one-off Maybach Exelero that featured in a Jay-Z music video, and a newly delivered AMG ONE. Not only that, but there's a 'Matchbox' display of race cars mounted on the wall, with more Le Mans, NASCAR and DTM winners amongst others.
I cannot believe I did not come to visit sooner, and I thoroughly recommend making a stop at the Nationales Automuseum - The Loh Collection in Germany!

Philip Kaess did a video earlier that year. and as I remember he mentioned, that the collection was privat and now they open the doors for the public. So it is a new "museum".

OMG! I can't believe you didn't mention this gorgeous Jag during the video. You keep panning past it & I'm talking to my screen asking what Jag is it. I'm so glad it's now been revealed as a XKSS, very very stunning vehicle. I absolutely love the C & D types & the vintage XK series. What an amazing collection, I really enjoyed this tour. The cars are undoubtebly amazing, but what's really blowing me away is the fact that, in what looks like a single take, Tim has spent over well 20mins talking knowledgeably about each and every car. Incredible stuff Tim, chapeau to you!

I actually work part-time at this museum. It costs 26 Euros for a combi ticket and often there are car clubs displaying their cars in the court yard. I never know what to expect when I show up to work. And not only is there a great restaurant, there is also a food trailer outside that serves good food too. Tours are available in German and English, but book that a head of time with the office. The gift shop has some limited edition models of some of the cars. It's really nice to work there

My passion for cars comes from my grandmother and dad who grew up in a house (the same house where my grandmother still lives) literally 12 km from where this has now opened and we had no idea. Thank you very much Tim, I look forward to bring them both next time I visit!

shmee , my friend that w126 380 SEC boss livery is so much more rare that those 2 w201 190 dtm cars. that car is so special because w126 c126's weren't raced like w201's. they have many many 190's but have you seen another sec set up for racing. oh man i wish you could have got some video or some info on exactly what it was used as and history. what an amazing video. no one has ever given as much nor had access to what you have given us your fans. you have truly done far more to get the highest quality content its unbelievable and we cant thank you or express how much you've given the cat world. extraordinary and nothing but positivity been a role model for everyone to aspire to be like. thank you. cheers

This is just a small part of the collection, the owner has in excess of 500 cars but most are in storage. The museum has one fixed exhibition and one varying so they keep rotating some cars based on the theme of the exhibition

There are so many incredible world car collections and this is surely one of the best. Smee takes us on a private tour. I just did a trip to Germany and unfortunately didn't know about this one. I did see the Louwman collection in the Hague, equally impressive. Stopped by Gallery Allderling in Holland, a fabulous classic car dealer, then the amazing Classic Remise Dusseldorf situated in an old train shed. Finally dropping by a friends collection. He has over 40 stunning cars, a BMW 507, the original Paris show car MB Gullwing, the Milan 356BB launch car, a host of Alpinas, including a Z8 and I8,
