When he said "He hit me with shots he wasn't supposed to hit me with." Leo was bringing the fight to him. He just needed to switch it up a bit. Davis read his attack and countered it. Hard to watch Cruz go down but they don't call that man "Tank" for no reason.

@@sjcbuckets2518 that wasn’t to disrespect he was paying homage to the culture by the colors. He always said how much of a great fighter Leo was in all the conferences if you go back and watch them. They even prayed for him and his family because of Leo’s father. So if you ask me this was the most respected and humble tank I’ve seen. Most of his fights he’s really obnoxious, this was not one of them.

Tank is something special. And some times it’s tough to have someone like Floyd be in his ear while his coach is also the one training him and guiding him. Some fighters can’t handle all that. Tank thrives on it. Great fight, he broke down Santa Cruz and finished him. It was low key unexpected for me to knock him out that early, Santa Cruz is a beast. But Gervonta adjusted and knocked him out clean. Respect to both fighters. ✊🏽

THAT was a special KO, Davis is extremely skilled even at the highest tier. Anyone else in the lightweight division would've lost a UD to Cruz that night, but Davis saw the opportunity, waited for the moment to strike and executed the KO perfectly

I love what floyd is doing for tank but I dislike how he won’t let Davis talk for himself sometimes. It’s not like tank isn’t sensible I wanna hear the perspective of tank more I think mayweather is hugging the spotlight too much. I believe kelvin alone could take Davis to this victory but floyd talks as if it wouldn’t be possible without him I don’t like that

Nah tank needs to work on speaking to the public and in interviews . He doesn’t articulate as well as you may think. Ryan Garcia is the same way.

I see what you’re saying. I also think that Davis knows that he has a big opportunity to have someone like Floyd on his side while he’s thriving through boxing. Floyd rarely does this & you can tell he sees the potential and believes in Davis. Remember Floyd tried to do this with Broner and he just wouldn’t listen and couldn’t handle it & you see where his career went.

This guy is fast becoming one of my favourite fighters! To knock out a very tough and durable opponent like santa Cruz in that fashion will no doubt send out a big statement to the rest of the division. The tank is by no means perfect and gets hit way more than he should for a man of his talent but if he carries on his current path he will go on to be a PFP great!... it is gonna take a very special fighter to beat this guy...
