To all y'all hating on Floyd, including CTG, y'all don't know boxing. When Floyd was fighting at his natural weight, (light weight and Jr Walter weight) he was knocking everybody out. ( Diego Corrales, Ricky Hatton, Arturo Gatti, Sharmba Mitchell and the list goes on. When he moved up, he couldn't knock the bigger guys out so he just out boxed everyone and now everyone calls him a boring fighter. News flash, the sport is called BOXING. Getting mad at a BOXER for BOXING is like getting mad at LeBron play basketball, it's just stupid.

@Powerule236 років тому
One of the greatest ever? That's a very high expectation. My only concern with Davis is he's short and short-armed, which will limit his ability to go up in weight and fight world-class opponents. His defense is suspect and he hasn't been tested. Chances are, Hay-weather will bring him along slowly and keep him at super featherweight, and ease him into the lightweight division. That may be tough, because he looks like he's damn near 150lbs in this interview.
@Powerule236 років тому
TOPSECRET + True talk. Hay-Weather will protect him and drag out easy bouts as long as needed to make money. Eventually, I'm guessing sometime n late in 2019 he will be faced with a solid opponent.

lol the money is definitely a factor. Floyd is the best defensive fighter/ boxer of all time or at least this generation in my opinion+ he made the most money out of all boxers. Imagine if Nas had make or accumulated Jay type money over his career the argument would be more stronger for him to be the goat but Jay's catalogue, the moves he made along with how he pushed the culture+ the business side of it to me makes him the greatest rapper of all time. It all ties into one.
@hakshustletv6 років тому
Jamal VInes When I say pushing the culture I'm talking about Hip Hop. He definitely influenced people within the culture or hip hop to be more independent or become ceo's & start their labels. He pushed the envelop so rappers can get paid more, in terms of music we've seen what he's done & in terms of getting hip hop more coverage. The rocafella dynasty alone made history. Of course it wasn't all him but putting that thing together was very powerful as a rapper he's set the blueprint for excellence in hip hop for a lot of aspiring rappers in terms of the overall thing. As a result what you will get is more CEO's, more independence or young artists not settling for bs from corporations & actually understanding leverage leading to better deals while still maintaining & creating great art.
@hakshustletv6 років тому
Demani Gonzalez Em has more hit songs than Nas but most people have Nas top 3 so I think it can't be all about the hit songs. And I defo ain't hating on Floyd I actually 100% agree with you but I'm talking about in terms of the overall accomplishment that's what a lot of people look to, to put him over the top. From a boxers stand point strictly I 100% that Floyd is hated on. But what if Roy Jones Jr stopped fighting sooner & accumulated the amount of money that Floyd has wouldn't more people argue him to be a good debate against Floyd for goat. All I'm saying is Money is a factor & so is success not just skill. Like for example name me your top 3 rappers in terms of nicest rappers when it comes to their pen game..
@chrisdeforce16 років тому
No. Going strictly off talent, you look at their individual skills, and stats. Either way Floyd is still the greatest boxer off all time. Skills and he undefeated
@hakshustletv6 років тому
ChrisDeForce I agree with the goat statement but the strictly off talent statement is false in my opinion. Using the rap analogy once again people tend to say Jay, Nas, Big are the best rappers of all time. That's bs anyone who knows rap knows battle rappers are the best rappers of all time in terms of skill and talent however because they haven't had the mainstream success compared to them they won't be considered. Not to say mayweather wouldn't be up for consideration but all the other things like the business success & the way & style that he's done it and accomplished it in is definitely a factor.
@ritzkola23026 років тому
Greatest *hip hop* artist of all time. Not rapper. Rap is just a single aspect of the game. That's like the difference between fmj being the greatest boxer of all time, to being the greatest defensive fighter of all time. It limits his accomplishments. Jay is to hip hop what Fmj is to boxing.

Truly Zambian not every boxer/ fighter has a great night you know that not every one is going to have a perfect fight
@Agnelum16 років тому
Angel Sanabria You missed the part of my comment which references him not even making weight for the fight? If a fighter doesn't even make weight, it calls into question his entire training camp for the fight. He wasn't focused even before he got in the ring so never mind all that stuff you're talking about.

He is going to be a great fighter. He has power and speed and the skill to go with it. People going at about the way he speak. Yet many hear can speak well, but won't make the money he is making. He doesn't sound as if he is not educated. Because he doesn't articulate words as well as some. The more interviews the better he will get. But he is a champion
@VegasElement6 років тому
God Bless GD, at 19-0 with 18 KOs, he's got a 95% KO ratio. My favorite young fighter..regarding his presentation, he's young, humble, and soft-spoken & will grow into his public persona.

Where’s Webbie ??????
@coltkabongo61126 років тому
He might not be able to talk but he can fight and will be tough to beat even for Lomachenko because he stays low when he fights.Gervonta reminds me of Rocky Marciano.Rocky was the best at staying low making it very difficult for his opponents to hit him consistently and staying low made it easy for Rocky to get inside and do some major damage.Gervonta is the same way.

I get what CTG was saying. He was like what does money have to do with being talented? When someone says Floyd is the greatest of all time, they know he get money all day everyday but he's specifically known for his skills in the ring. That's what makes him number 1 not just the fact he's a great business man.

Tank is a good fighter is an understatement, but of those that would try to understand your fame, let them wonder, and keep humble as you give the proper credits to them that have trained you. Good job Gervonta!!!!

They've definitely got him a speech coach. Dude used to sound slow when he'd get behind the mic and Mayweather would have to come up and speak for him, now they're letting do interview by himself. Glad to see he's improved with that as well as became a champion.
@weeshirley5934Рік тому
He was never slow, Floyd just used to speak for him
@user-yh3cy8tj1dРік тому
@@weeshirley5934 key phrase "sounded slow". That wasn't a shot at his intelligence. Some people just don't put words together that well.
