Welding next to an open topped bin is never a good idea at any time, and like you say it looks like they're putting highly combustible things in there. The guy needs to find a new job because he's too stupid to be a welder that's for sure.

Chicken wire screwed to your steps will help you keep grip in icy conditions. We use it where I live because sub tropics plus shade equal moss with the same slippery properties.

I'm amazed how often people falling down their own steps are featured in these compilations, especially in icy/snowy conditions. As an Aussie not being used to it, if it were me I'd be in hob nail boots and clinging to the rail for dear life each and every time I stepped out there. No steps to get out of my house thank goodness.

@joe125ful my family salts our wooden stairs outside every year and we are in ontario we have been getting more hail and ice here than snow for the past 10 years so far salt has been effective enough to clear the ice if you have dogs sand is definitely a good idea its more pet friendly for that

It's not the falling that bothers me. It's when they've clearly broken something. I've severely and visibly dislocated my knee twice and I can't stand to see, hear or have implied that anything is out of place.

I think because in some parts, the person who is failing something cant hear warnings, for example when they were ear protectors while biulding something, or the sounds of cars/other traffic are covering it. In some Parts, it can even be not foreseen and hits unexpected.(These are the kind of dashcam videos)

What really gets me is, I live in Australia where it never gets below freezing and I see people going outside the house and slip over like they've never expected it to be slippery. Never thinking much of it until recently when I got to thinking "these people live with this being a regular occurrence, so why do they go outside never expecting to it be slippery when it should be the first thought when it gets that cold??
