My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after t11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.

As far as what I love to watch video-wise on your channel - My husband and I watch every single video because we just enjoy you - your energy, your excitement, and we even feel your pain and frustration of the last few months and we are rooting for you every time! I do love your adventures into the back country, but honestly, we've watched each and every one of your videos from the last few months of the van being down too - it's actually YOU and your personality that we enjoy, so content is whatever you enjoy, then we enjoy too.

Things may seem off right now, but keep in mind no other channel is like yours! They can’t compete with you. You had a rough year is all. You went public on your relationship then went none public with it, you had injury to your foot. You had transmission issues, and then engine issues then your heart scare due to stress etc. You just had a lot of things going on and now it will take some adjustment time to get back to your comfort level but you will get there. Just breathe and allow yourself the time to easily get back to what you enjoy doing. You have never guided yourself wrongly yet we have faith in you we just want you to do this with less stress. Take care. ❤

I think the value of your UKposts channel is you. You do what most of us we don’t have courage to do. There seems to be many instructional videos from carpenters and electricians etc and many younger people. But there is little content in terms of life style. I've watched your channel since you lived in the high-rise, watched you move into your van, watched it evolve. Because of you, I traveled all this past summer in a mini-van. I faced a few daunting things - 2-inch hail that pocked the xxx out of my van. A tornado that ripped up the place I was staying. But most of all, I had a real blast - traveling to places I'd never seen, enjoying waves, mountains, plains. Sometimes camping, sometimes I'd catch a hotel. Crossed a 1-lane bridge in the back country. Found weird moon-scapes in the desert. I loved it. So, Thank You. Keep making the content that makes YOU happy. I might never work on a car, but I appreciate who you are. Stay weird.

Yes there is so much content out there but as soon as I see a new video from Vancity Vanlife I’m clicking. Chrome I enjoy everything you post, I don’t know why watching your shop build is interesting to me but it is, I don’t know why your van rebuild was exciting to me but it was, watching your enthusiasm for getting out into the back country has been great viewing and watching that darn dog is adorable. Those plastic step things are dangerous. Friends had one and the constant pound down girl friend broke it and twisted her ankle. You can get a metal one with folding legs, think I got mine at Home Depot. They come in different sizes, mine is the smaller one, legs folds up nicely and is way safer. Love your new adventure and am so jealous. Was able to get out this weekend but live on the mainland so spring is just coming not like the island. Lucky you.

Chrome, van life isn't your niche bro. You are! You've said yourself that you have a ton of subscribers that have zero interest in vanlife. That's because you make the videos interesting and it pulls the audience in. When you're excited and joyful about what your doing it transfers those feelings through the video. So my unsolicited advice is to stay out of your head (it's far too busy in there to get anything done anyway) just keep filming what you feel passionate about doing and enjoy the experience!! ✌✌

I always enjoy your videos Chrome! As a 65 year old grandma, stuck in my house in HOT Arizona, I really enjoy your scenery shots with the soothing music. I used to go camping as a young girl in the 60's and 70's and I sure miss it. I'm very happy you're back on the trail again and I enjoy watching Cruzie as well. I could feel my blood pressure go down watching this one so as far as I'm concerned, keep 'em coming. And btw, what's wrong with root beer?? It's one of my faves so go for it!! I have also had a similar stool for years. As with everything plastic though, I never trust the weight limits. Since you will be using yours under more strenuous circumstances, ( backcountry ) than I do, definitely go with something sturdier. We don't want you injured and hobbling around again. Loved your campsite. ❤

They're meant for a flat surface, like in your house. Outdoors one or maybe even two corners are in the air, maybe it's teetering on two corners. They're just not designed for that.

The deep freeze here in Texas in February 2021 and power loss in my place forced me into my minivan for a week and caused me to "explore" van life on UKposts. Along with your channel, I also subscribed to many, many more. Now, 3 years later, I am only following a few (less than 5 or so) with yours being the top one I watch consistently. Why? Because it is not just about epic van life shots. You show the challenges, ups and downs, of what life is all about, whether that is on the road or in a house. I have one of those folding stools. Well, they are kind of not made really well, but they are not made for traveling. I've had mine for at least 10 years, but i dont use it much. I think that aluminum one would be better for you and might be sturdier. I hope so, because tall steps as we age stinks! My husband has a truck that's a bear to get in and out of. I have one of the plastic fold stools in it to use. I do have a paracord tied on it and it works well to get it in and out. I hope you fine the right kind!

Just do what you always been doing. Filming your every day life and activities. I enjoy your cross country traveling, backcountry adventures or staying in the city doing your stealth camping. Or when you at the shop doing repairs, adding upgrades etc I just watch your videos because of YOU and because I like your personality and energy and lifestyle. Maybe one day when I retire and can sell my apartment and live of my retirement funds and move into a van or RV and explore Europe and maybe even take my vehicle across the pond into Canada and the US. That has always been a dream of mine to go on an epic North America road trip and see the entire Canada and the US with the various provinces/states that each had it’s own culture because both countries are a multicultural and to see the nature change from province/state to province/state due to the fact that both countries are large

I like your style of videos, Chrome. What is really getting old on other channels is the same grinding their pour over coffee, making meals and watching them eat (don't worry, fried cheese doesn't count).

I appreciate you asking the question. It’s very honest of you, so I will be honest in my response. I’m one of the people who has less interest in your shop and repairs than I do in watching you outdoors or building your business. For me, I prefer the videos where you park on the side of the road and showcase Vancouver Island. I think of it like this. I have loved watching VV for years. I am affected by what I watch. When you are travelling and sharing all these incredible places and experiences with us we get inspired. That’s when everything is going great. But then the van broke down and you lost your freedom for a while. Well we all felt that way too. Our van, the one you drive around for us to help us escape for a moment, was broken down too. The delays were as frustrating for us as they were for you. When you camped today, I too was sitting by the fire, imagining being somewhere on the island. Thank you for not giving up on the idea of having a fire. I very much appreciated that you had a fire.

Seeing a bulldog out in the wild/bush is always so funny to me. They are just this chubby, lazy, chill type of dog vibe. but props to Cruz he seems to keep pace from what I see on your other older vids on those big long walks/hikes. Big dude tries his best!
