There's no such thing as total control in life, we're always adjusting to the unexpected no matter how carefully we plan. Being relaxed as possible and rolling with it rather than stressing makes us strong, healthy, emotionally and mentally nimble. I'm glad Sherpa got to see his friend Bella. She's another dog that adores Jamie who seems to be a doggo magnet.

So, until very recently I lived in Los Angeles. Sitting in traffic took years off my life. Poor Sherpa. Thank you for never showing us him being attacked by other dogs. I would be so upset to see that. Dear God, please always keep Sherpa safe. And so it is. ❤️

I empathize with the traffic frustration, we have 4 seasons where I live: fall, winter, spring, and construction, which causes traffic to be terrible.

The fast fwd part of the road trip was like zoomies for the Big Red 🤣🤣🤣 He didn't even pop up once so laid back he was on this trip 💗💗💗 Big dogs generally are more considerate of small ones coz they know they might hurt them by mistake and thus they get attacked often by other dogs and Sherpa being the sweetest of all would not pounce back🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘💗💗💗

I like Jamie's calmness in the face of everyday setbacks. While I was watching the video I thought that I should take life like this because there are things that are beyond our control like a traffic jam, heavy rain etc, etc. Getting upset doesn't let you think about how to resolve problems.😊🐕❤

I empathize with Sherpa...I'm at an age where even the "cool" stuff has to be weighed against just enjoying a good lie down...

I know you all in the UK get a lot of rain and cloudy days, but be Very Glad you have that. Here in the U.S. the majority of us, especially in the southern and south western parts are dealing with some VERY nasty heat. I enjoy the rain and cloudy days it keeps things cooler, well at times. I think Sherpa would rather go on his walks than do the hydrotherapy. But it does benefit his health.

Sometimes the best things happen when we don't plan for them to happen. Glad you were able to take a walk in the rain and unexpectedly meet up with friends. I would love to receive a ton of rain so I wouldn't have to worry about which part of my yard gets watered. Where I am we're in a really bad drought and the forecast for the week is 100+degrees Fahrenheit.

Oh yes, I'm with you, my Springer Spaniel was miles smaller than Sherpie, but he seemed to be a challenge to every little dog coming. There were whole woods near my house that were out of bounds for that very reason, and also why Sherpa's growls made me think there was going to be a ruck, until I saw him with Key and Nook, and realised that 'dog' has more vocabulary than I realised!

It's your intuition, your hunch or strong feeling to guide you! Like you say, there is always a reason. I call it listening to my Angels/spirit guides because it's usually the right thing to do! Because, if you don't listen to your intuition and things do not go as planned...you're probably telling yourself "I knew I should have done that!" So, good on you Jamie! Love to you & Sherpa:))

I know what you mean, my rescue cocker has been attacked a couple of times by stray dogs, been bitten needed vet care and now I am afraid when I see a loose dog. So we walk on high traffic areas where I know dogs will be leashed. Love to you and Sherpa! We saw a husky on our walk yesterday. Beautiful girl! 🐕🥰💕

Sorry hydro appears to be an issue. I can only surmise, but I know when my dog did hydro, it was all the handling that he did not like and really take to. He also wanted me to swim with him. He eventually tolerated it, but he is an independent minded dog, so he always wants to do it himself and swim his way, like Sherpa!..💗 I am having the same issue w/ramps because he wants to jump up in the car or bed, or couch w/ me and do it himself. But he has accepted it now and goes with the flow. I hope the lake is a better fit.

It's too bad you don't live close enough to Key for both to have Hydro together, UNLESS...(I bet it would be SO MUCH FUN for Sherpa to swim with his BFF 😊 and well, Jamie, you DID spend over an hour in traffic 😆).
