Was sure the AIMS was the one for my setup until seeing your video. Upgrading from 2000w to 3000w is my goal as I prepare my boat for the Seattle to New Orleans leg. I liked the descriptive portion of the video when the shell was removed and wiring gauges were discussed. Sure to make the Giandel 3000w the "heart" of my system now. Having an extra in reserve will lend a certainty to my effort.

13:27 The Min/Max option on a multimeter will not measure the inrush you need to use one with an inrush setting, I did that with a grinder, and it said 20 max amps, but when I used inrush it showed 37 amps. the min/max just doesn't grab the actual inrush. If the scaling is linear -ish, that seems like it overloaded at 6500 watts roughly.

Thank you for the great video on the inverter! I enjoyed it and might just have to get one and divert part of my solar into batteries and use one for lights, computer, etc. It would be a great thing for that use! BEST REVIEW I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! I am trying to determine what brand 3k inverter/charger (together or separate) to buy. Most import thing is value (bang for my buck). I am installing in a camper and may sell in future but don't want to go to cheaper in case i have for a while and have problems. What would you recommend and would it be together or combo?

What's the efficiency with a light load like between 200 and 400 watts? I'm off grid and that's about how much power I use continually unless someone turns on something large.

I wouldn't recommend it if you're going to need it everyday. spend the next $50 and get an inverter that is actually engineered to be used everyday.

Shared. The 6000W surge is for transient load (very short burst) not a dead load at power up. Seems the top output power (non transient) is 4000W. Glad you showed the oscope test... do that under significant load with different kinds of inductive or capacitive loading....that is where distortion will be most obvious. Pretty good unit overall, inside looks well made.

Great product review. Someone should start making adapters for standard electric cars (Nis Leaf, Volt...) which would allow us to tee off of the battery pack. Then suppliers could make something like this at those voltages. That would give great portable power.

Nice video as usually! One question, if I have a 400 vdc 100% charge (57.1kwh) power pack, how can I charge that pack while keeping the voltage on the high charge to 375vdc and be able to discharge to 280vdc and not below that SOC?

I would like to see if you can set up a micro grid with that pure sine inverter and then see if the grid-tie inverters can sync up to the inverter. So if the grid goes down can you get the grid tie inverters up and going with that pure sine inverter. ??

Jehu, If this inverter is used with your solar generator instead of the the 2000w originally used, what would be needed to change/add to build the generator? Heavier gage wire? I am building your generator now but can easily add this because of the benefits of power etc? Any thoughts? Also the power meter has been unavailable for a while, any substitutes?

Great video, i would like to ask you what do you recommend to run directly from the car's cigarettes' lighter and where am i supposed to locate the power inverter while it's connected to the car. Here in Houston we just went through a few days of blackout with lows in the ten's and snow, but i wasn't prepared. I would really appreciate your advice. I am looking forward to get everything i need for an apartment so those huge power generators are a nono, maybe an inverted generator would do it. I would've loved to be able to cook hot meals for me an my family and maybe run a couple of mini heaters but i had nothing. Now i don't want to make the same mistake all over again.

Your car's cigarette lighter is only rated to provide about 150 watts of power. For emergency heat, I would recommend an indoor kerosene heater. For cooking, one of those propane camp stoves will work perfectly. Space heating and cooking take a LOT of power.

@6:57 efficiency is 85% not the 92% as claimed in the Video, input voltage was 27.55 and current was 19.6 Amps hence power was (P=VI) 539.9 watts and output power was 460 Watts.
