Editor jack deserves a raise for this video. Efficient and fast-paced so the action was non-stop, and the quality and comedic timing of the bits with the 360 cam, KFC references, etc. we’re impeccable.

Why yes...I actually have played darts from a helicopter...lol. While in the Military, part of my "job" was to drop sensors, shaped like very large lawn darts, out of the door or ramp from various helicopters on a weekly basis... from what I recall, conditions allowing, we would generally fly 80 knots at 500 ft so our aiming point was consistent. We would drop 3 to 5 sensors in a "string" with the preferred impact sites marked on a map and a team member working as a "plotter" to record actual impact point so we could adjust the distance figure in our computations.....this was all Pre-GPS

@@kevinjohnson7345 ...though we did do some drop training while at sea just to maintain our flight hours, the sensors "We" dropped were seismic sensors....No Subs involved, just enemy troops, trucks and tanks. When we weren't deploying them by air, we would sneak in and place them by hand...other designs of course (seismic, infrared, magnetic, audio)

Too many of the best projectiles missed entirely. Everything that missed should have been dropped until it hit something. The dart was impressive even as a miss, though.

Yeh was a bummer. We only had a limited time with the chopper so we tried to pump out the drops to hit as much as possible. Wish we’d hit more but maybe we just got really lucky at the dam last time 🤷🏻‍♂️ could be fun to play it with a slightly diff format at the tower, maybe if an item gets hit it’s points are gone? 😬

Maybe using a line with a weight on tied to the end would provide more accurate hits since it can give the helicopter pilot a way to see how close to the targets he is. Lower the line from the copter when at the target area to help prevent it from swinging. Let the weight hit the ground then raise it back up a bit would also help keep it from swinging.

Congrats Herron. Actually anyone that get in a helicopter and hangs out to drop used items from 300 to 1000 feet should be congratulated or insane. I’m glad you have fun doing it. You shouldn’t push objects away, I notice they went further. Try just dropping straight down next time. Of course if it was even a little windy or a breeze can make a difference.
