Aw man its not about how close you are, its about the experience. Best memories of when my father took me to baseball games. We would have to sit at the top but idc i was having fun with my dad.

My mother tried and tried and tried to get my father to spend time with me with little luck! My grandfather (my mother's father) even tried! He would offer the packers tickets to game's to my father as long as my father would take me, my father turned him down. So my mother would take me to game's or i went with my grandfather until my grandfather past on. At that point the tickets past to my uncle. A year later he moved to Florida and transfered them to my mother. I continued to attend games with my mother, including the last time she was physically able to! She past on from cancer 4 month's later! (98) Before she passed away she transferred the tickes to my oldest sister who could handle the financial strain. She did so after talking to me. As she wanted someone who would appreciate and protect the tickets! I told her my oldest sister and her husband should be the one's to get the tickets! As they sat and watched all the packer games on tv just like my mother and me If we couldn't go! Had she transferred them to my father, she knew he would have sold them game by game to the highest bidder! He would have had them taken away long before now! Either because he couldn't pay for them or because of the actions of those he sold them to getting into trouble! My father now wants to mend our relationship 15 years after he blew it up! I tried for almost a year after his actions destroyed it! And got the door slammed in my face or phone calls went click repeatedly! Now he needs to take the first step toward mending our relationship! He had the perfect chance back around the end of September, with even a birthday card in the mail to me! No card for me, but my eldest sister got one with her birthday four (4) days after mine! Or even a Christmas card again nothing for me! He has my address that hasn't changed. I know because my oldest sister and my niece's have given it to my father and my youngest sister, who lives with and takes care of him! I also know he has my address, because he sent me a letter 11 years ago demanding money! Nothing else! It was a business letter! Relationships need communications both ways! Until he shows me he really wants a relationship with me by making that honest first step towards mending this relationship! I won't set myself up for another door slamming in my face! I don't want to have to deal with the mental stress and strain he caused me 15 years ago. All over again! He caused this to himself with the actions he took back then! He has made no attempt in any of the past 15+ years! He will have to show me he really wants a relationship before i will take the chance! Yes i love my father. However it does not look like he feels the same way for me.............. He will have to answer to my mother before he even reaches the pearly gate's. I wouldn't want to be anywhere close when she gets her hands on him! He has torn apart our family and he alone will have to answer for it! Only with the correct actions by him, will it possibly begin to mend! Sorry for the length but a little detail was required!
