Okay. I never in my wildest dreams expected this mashup to work. Yet it does. Beautifully. PostmodernJukebox managed to successfully combine two of my very favourite things: swing jazz and BabyMetal. Tara Louise's vocals really fit the piece. Now I'm imagining Su singing Gimichoko in a jazz style. She could probably do it, but it would be weird.

3 years later I still love this version of the song so much! Her pronunciation is spot on and the style suits the song so well. She's even got some of the moves down the band does for the song. As a long time J-pop/Rock fan I've always wished Japanese acts got more exposure here in the states, thank you for helping introduce a wider audience to the music!

Doki Doki Morning I think was first written in 2011, and the kids were like 12 when it came out, IIRC. The single came out before there was even an album out. Gimme Chocolate is simple, yes but it is meant for girls that are about the same age (13-15) and the simplistic message actually works in its favor. Song 4 is another simple song but it tackles a complicated issue of Asian superstition regarding the number.

Never heard of them, just spent the last few hours watching their videos and I'm hooked, it is so unique. I was very much into music through the 70s and 80s but after that I just lost interest and stuck with my old favorite bands (how like my parents). Then I saw Puddles and Haley and Morgan and all of Postmodern Jukebox and my musical interests are expanding again. Fresh new takes on new and old songs by incredibly talented artists. I seriously can't get enough. Thanks to Postmodern jukebox. Now I can't wait to play Babymetal for my wife and watch her head explode.

@@elessarstrider5210 well I cannot concur yet, at least not until they issue a new and convincing studio album. Not one of the new song so far has even got close to the level of any of the songs from 1st and 2nd album. It's good to see, though, that some back-step has been done to recover some of the long abandoned mix of heavy metal and funny attitude, like Pa pa ya! seems to suggest. But as said, it's a back-step. I dearly hope they get out with some *really* good and *new* stuff soon.

I'm just so glad to see Tara Louise back "on the little carpet;" she crushed it on "Bye Bye Bye," then much later she did a couple of backup singer performances and that was it. But now she's back.
