I wish I had your execution ability during a presentation. I am a sales director for a very large software company and am working on my presentation skills to gain the advantage during our meetings. This was incredibly helpful!

Make your mind up, in one of your Presentations you state, Keep still during your talk, don't move , keep your hand by your side, So i say take a look at your own video, i think its fine to move shows confidance

ray bullock Hi Ray, Thanks for this comment/question. It turns out the videos are not paradoxical at all. It’s certainly ok to move, and can absolutely show confidence. The key is that they be targeted movements and done consciously and for a reason. The point I make about standing still is as a default position. What I mean by that is that too many presenters move around constantly, even when it’s not necessary or even beneficial. When a movement isn’t necessary or beneficial, that’s when it’s key to remain still at the default position. The best presenters, just like the best speakers, know when to move and when to stand still. They each have their place, but a default still position is of utmost importance so that when one does move, it has impact. Jason
