This song is the best song I have ever listened to and it makes me cry because it reminds me of my relationships😫💓❤️

i can relate to this song and this is how i interpret some of the lyrics with my life: my boyfriend and i are in a long distance relationship from the very start from the age of 16. we're 19 now, and my parents were never okay with him coming over, vice versa. the drive is 3.5 hours, which isn't bad but it's tiring. so once i got my drivers license at 18, a few months after i got a car, i've been sneaking out. the first time i was caught, but after that i didn't care and went behind their backs to spend a day or two there with him. and when i tell you, every time i saw him in person, i always felt adrenaline rushing through my body. every time i hugged him, i felt secure. every time i came over, i never wanted to leave. whenever i was there, it was peaceful. he always told me he didn't want me to get in trouble if i stay any longer, but i didn't care. he even says that he wants me to stay there with him forever but he knows that it can't happen. whenever he came over, i never wanted him to leave, but i know that he has to go back home. my parents don't like me til this day, but idc. how they view me as a daughter, i disagree with. they're sexist and still have that Asian OG mindset of what i can and cannot do in order to save face. once i started dating, my relationship with my parents changed. it's sad because my boyfriend started feeling like they didn't like him also, which i never want to believe. and even if they do, idc. i see that he's hurt because he feels like he can't get their approval. i can't do anything but tell him that he's wrong and how my parents just don't like me. they also say how i'm a bad influence and that my siblings shall NOT date at my age...either they hate me or something, BECAUSE, my youngest sister suddenly started dated at 13 and my mom especially took it way better...and idk how to feel...til this day, i believe that i'm just not liked in the family 😂 kinda went off topic but 🤷🏻‍♀️ edit: one time, when he was over (he usually sleeps over) but we can't sleep together in the same room or anything, and i went to lay with him for a bit but accidentally fell asleep. i believe my mom had to go to work that next morning and saw me sleeping right next to him. she kicked the bed to wake me up and later after he left, she told me how if she catches me next time, i'd have to get married with him just because i decided to sleep next to him...LIKE 🧍🏻‍♀️ ok? edit #2: my mom even assumed and admitted that my boyfriend was the #1 reason his parents divorced..he was 3-4 years old during that time...she also blamed him for not having the best relationship with his biological parents, yet it's the fact that his dad moved on and started a whole other family, while his mom was always out at clubs and never took care of him and his younger half siblings. he literally moved back and forth from cities to small towns, and eventually lived with his grandparents, up until his middle school years living with his older brother til now. it's ridiculous and embarrassing to hear that come out of my mom's mouth. FINAL UPDATE (just in case y'all missed it in the comments): it's oct. 24, 2022...my boyfriend and i moved in this past June. i can't feel any better than this. all those days and nights of crying was worth it. i don't regret pushing myself through all of my depressing episodes. there's still so much more to do, but i appreciate each day i'm here. as for my parents...they've calmed down..it's only been my mom that's been guilt tripping me. it's either her way of saying she misses me but i'm not trying to argue when, at the end of the day, it wouldn't benefit me in any way. whoever is going through shit right now, i just wanna say that you're not alone. and even if you feel like you are, you got this. i support you and hope everything works out for you...no matter how long it takes ❤

This song makes me think of my husband and I. We are always fighting and arguing he breaks things, accuses me of stuff he KNOWS isn’t true, it’s emotional turmoil. Yet we cannot divorce… every time we say we can’t do this anymore, venomous words are spewed damaging my mind and heart…I know we won’t work if this toxicity keeps going. I know I should divorce him and move on with my life…but I just cannot imagine my life without him. He is cruel and hateful yet sweet and loving…mental health plays a big role in all of this….but we always end up back in each others arms and it’s beautiful till it’s not anymore….it’s a vicious heart breaking cycle….and I cry every time I hear this song.
