Usually post apocalypse are a few years or even 10 years after the apocalypse. What you are thinking of is a Post Post Apocalypse genre. Generations pass by and new civilizations are birthed from the ashes of the old. I personally call this genre the Civilization Reborn genre or the Null Apocalypse genre. I would classify the Null Apocalypse genre where the pains of the past are so far gone out of the protagonists way. But you can see the remnants of the previous generations decades ago. And sometimes, these remnants have direct influence on the world or the people living in said world. Something like Horizon Zero Dawn or even Fallout in some locations. As for Horizon, there were people influenced by the tech from the old world and you can see it affect the tribes but in unexpected. Instead of seeing the machines as simply machines. They see them as simply "animals" or even gods that propagate the land. As for Fallout, the cities are definitely influenced from the bombs 200+ years ago. But they build up on it and make homes for themselves with either the old tech or from the tech they make for themselves. Sometimes even certain Ghibli films has that taste too. It is called a Null Apocalypse because while apocalypse happened and people suffered, it did not stop the people from progressing and using the pre-apocalyptic world in its creation. Civilization Reborn reflects more of an apocalyptic event as simply background. It is essentially lore building. Ultimately, has no real effect on the current events of the story. Its history and items will pop out but the story does not really revolve around the old world. So think Adventure Time. There was a previous civilization at one point in the series way back then. But it affected very few of our current characters of the series. It is amazing by the way. But there are also other characters with different backgrounds that are not influenced by the previous civilization. It is just there. This is called Civilization Reborn because Civilization is made where the influences of the old world are either minimal or diminished all together. It does not mean it is not made from the past. It just sometimes mean that past has little actual influence to the current world or plot. Solarpunk might be a helpful source of ideas for creating either a Null Apocalypse or Civilization Reborn genre. That is dependent on you though. Solarpunk is mostly utopic world building but I personally believe you can find more Null Apocalypse genres with them. Because they are tied with Zero Waste peoples and so on.

I love playlists like these, because they make me feel nostalgia for a loss I've never experienced.

@@eloinpuga The kind you're probably thinking of is total chaos and disorder. This is about 9 years after the apocalypse, so the songs are not meant to sound loud or chaotic, but rather calm and ambient, but also sound a bit sad, since the person has been alone for 9 years

Ohhh yes, Thomas Bergersen and the orchestra he has, Two Steps From Hell have some of the most amazing compositions I've ever heard. Its hard categorizing them, but every single piece they do is a other worldly experience, and if you listen with your heart, you can hear and feel the messages and stories he tries to put through. Some of my favorites are Creation of Earth, Flight of the Silverbird and Rocket to the Moon
