I love that because I am in Brazil the video already played with our voice acting and translation. And Guilherme Briggs fits Caine perfectly and you can hear all the other characters he voice acts in just one character.

Jax seems to 'play along' more than anybody else. He mentioned that they'd need to work Pomni into the song, he suggested Kaine do an adventure, he was glad to receive the reward. He seems to "accept" the way things are the most.

I’d just like to point out - this show introduced its world, pacing, 8 characters, AND the story premise all within the first minute. That there is efficient writing.

Yknow, i just had a thought. Im amazed that nobody had a lasting reaction to Kaufmo abstracting. Pretty much everyone brushed it off more than anything, with Caine even making a joke about his abstracting. There doesn’t seem to be a way of “dying” in the digital circus, but abstracting is the closest thing to it; completely losing your mind, your body becoming something atrocious and violent, with no remnant of what used to be “you”. With Kaufmo, that was straight up just a dude _dying,_ someone they might’ve known for a long time, and they brush it off like it’s nothing. Hell, I’m surprised Pomni didn’t even say anything (though they did look disgusted after Caine’s joking demeanor about it.)

For Russian speakers, the joke is that her name is Pomni, but she can’t remember her name, and Pomni in Russian is Pomni, that is, remember

Caine’s animation to me is especially good, the skill to have him appear to talk with his jaws and also express with his “eyebrows” simultaneously is incredibly impressive animation work.

Tbh, I didn't think it was that funny, until I got to 6:00 and hearing Caine actually manage to pronounce "XDDCC" had me go from snickering to straight laughing my ass off.

The ending scene at 23:53 is genuinely so unsettling for some reason, the way Pomni looks straight at you as the camera zooms in, and her face contorts into that crazy grin. AND THE MUSIC. This whole episode was amazing but the end just absolutely left me wanting more I’m gonna die if this doesn’t get greenlit

Caine strikes as one of those "well intentioned villains". As if he is trying to protect the other denizens from a horrible revelation. P.D.: Thinking about it, he didn't do anything evil or harmful in the pilot, other than keeping them trapped into the digital circus, which is very ambiguous, considering we lack any context. He actually helped the other characters to get rid of the "abstracted" creature and healed Pomni and Ragatha of their glitchiness.

I LOVE the reference to Little Runmo at 19:29 “You didn’t experience a game show in there did you?” Is a reference to the gastral giveaway. Which takes place in a stomach.

Love that Michael Kovach has become the voice of every "bratty snide smarmy smiley typically lanky or twinkish (and usually not fully human) male side character in an animated show pilot on youtube" .... It is surprisingly not such a niche category of character, but he's still managed to get a pretty strong chokehold on the role in the industry, it would seem

Literally me crying because we’ve come so far since a half a year ago and rewatching this reminds me of what seems like forever ago (before I knew how mentally ill the fandom was) when I was new to this, when I barely knew the characters, it makes me sad, man, I kinda wanna go back to that, but at the same time, this show is legitimately one of my core memories

I didn’t expect this to be a psychological horror. You can really feel the despair. I wonder if this is more of a silent hill type of thing, meaning each character has their own interpretation of the “circus”?

Just finished watching the pilot, and I DEFINITELY UNDERSTAND NOW WHY EVERYONE LIKES THIS!!! This show is GOOD!! From the animations to the performances, the creators DEFINITELY went all out on this! I swear, this HAS to be the best show I ever watched since Loki!

Honestly I like how Caine's design is something that would hypothetically be considered disturbing, or even nightmare fuel, but as weird as it is to say, after a while you get used to it and you don't mind it at all. At least that's how I see it! What do y'all think?

The amount of theories one episode can produce is so surprising. It shows how much potential this show has. Also the soundtrack is a bop!

I kind of want to believe that this is a prequel to the matrix, as weird as it may sound. The AI creating this world and abducting random people to see how the human mind would cope.

I haven't felt so bad for a horror protagonist in a very long time. A truly believeable character to root for. Hopefully if this continues, Pomni can at least find happiness.

There is so much to unpack, I have no clue where to start. I love how gooseworx managed to capture the abstract terror of amnesia and the terror of the unknown. The characters are so charming. The hints to the lore like the hallway doors, Cofmo’s abstraction, the back rooms, the void, the computer Pomni recognized, the logo, so many secrets! I can’t wait!

I love the cast so much already. Every character actually feels like a person and not something thats basically a background prop with no personality there just for the plot. This show gives me a ONE feeling, people being transported to a small strange place against there will, slowly going insane from it. I can’t wait to see more of the digital circus and the outside world around it.

I absolutely love the orchestrated version of the Digital Circus theme at the end and how it manages to take the light hearted theme of the show and give it ominous implications that something is definitely not right.

THIS SHOW IS SO GOOSEWORX. Literally everything I want out of a show. Funny dialogue, pretty visuals, goofy characters, existential dread, faint hints of cosmic horror, reoccurring panic attacks, physical and mental pain- the whole batch! Edit: forgot little runmo references

It isn't much, and I don't have much, but I purchased a Pomni plush just to try and help fund for that full season. This is a wonderful project, an amazing step in 3D animation. Caine is literally a 3d modeling and design marvel that 100% needs to be studied by future generations of 3D artists. You've successfully figured out how to use both his mouth for talking and for showing facial expression at the same time, without compromising the audio dubbing. It still thoroughly feels like he's talking, while the mouth can not only be raised or lowered to show expression, but also using the eyes with cartoonish gestures and movements to show expression without an eye socket just shows an expertise at design and direction. Extremely well done.

I love Pomni's smile at the end so much. The most forced of forced smiles. Finally getting to acceptance that there is no escape, no convenient exit door that leads to freedom and if you obsess over finding your escape you could end up like Kaufmo. So smile...smile and bury the pain as insanity surrounds you. Survive.

As a music student, I need to go on a bit of laud: HOW IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE FINAL TRACK?!?! "Your New Home" perfectly demonstrates the exact emotions Pomni goes through at the end of the episode and paints an exact picture of every theme, context and implication. The track can be split into 4 stages. The first stage is the most innocent: a sense of curiosity and processing. Pomni is transported into this impossible world of all these fantastical colours and circus themes that, on its own, trigger a sense of euphoric wonder. Throughout the episode, Pomni had a strong sense of hope regarding the exit door. She refused to believe that she could be stuck in such a world and desperately believed that, if she found this exit door, maybe she could escape. Stage 1 of "Your New Home" takes place in Pomni's mind as she processes the reality that she finds herself in. It's calm because Pomni's initial feelings of hope are still present as she slowly pieces together that her only hope has been crushed. Stage 1 then rises in its dynamic before seamlessly transitioning to stage 2. Stage 2 of the track represents Pomni's initial feeling of shock, horror and over-stimulation. This part of the song is still in major and can still be considered happy if you take away the context; this is done on purpose. Pomni tends to process trauma with all her emotions. This is why she always laughs whenever she experiences emotions of dread. Stage 2 perfectly replicates the intense feeling of dread mixed with mania and euphoria, but the bright emotions that she feels quickly dissipates, bringing us to stage 3. Stage 3 of the track represents the intense feelings of anxiety and terror as Pomni's initial manic response dissolves. The dynamics are just about the same as stage 2, if not just a little more intense, but those dark intervals and sustained high notes elevate the suspense of the music until we are met with a very brief window of silence, that can be seen as a deep breath, before spontaneously moving to stage 4: a cinematic major chord representing a scream of horror. I believe this song perfectly represents what it feels like to have a panic attack. The bright stimulating show-runner themed music mixed with a sense of dread and anxiety is just all too familiar and I believe that the track is just pure genius. Even the ciruc/show-runner themes of the song hint towards the context of the panic attack: Pomni is trapped in a sort of hell where she is forced to perform in a circus for eternity or until she abstracts. If you haven't already, open Spotify or Apple Music or whatever you use to listen to music and just listen to "Your New Home" with this analysis in mind. I've listened to this track for about 2 hours straight and I honestly couldn't help but tear up from how beautifully horrifying it is when considering both the composition, the production and the context. It is absolutely incredible that such a powerful and vivid story had been perfectly fit into a 1 minute track. I would expect nothing less from this incredibly detailed series.

This first episode is simply awesome; the animation, voice acting and plot are so well done. I’m loving those facial expressions on Pomni. I enjoy how Pomni’s just trying, in vain, to wrap her head around this madcap digital world while meeting this whole menagerie of characters; they all bring something unique to the table. I think Pomni, Jax and Ragatha are my favorites. Caine’s the “Q” of the digital circus, I’d say. Jax is the lovable jerk you can’t help but laugh at while he makes others miserable with his antics. Ragatha’s the, mostly, sane, motherly figure in the group. I like the concept with Gangle having the whole mask thing. Kinger’s kind of the old, kooky hermit. And Zooble’s just there, but not really.

I gotta give props to the entire team, the animation is amazing, the models are great, the music I could listen to for hours, and the writing is great, its so awesome when the first episode manages to have multiple stories that converge but also shows off the personality of each character perfectly, one episode in and I already know I’m gonna love Kinger

Seeing new fandom popping out of thin air is quite an experience.

This show is absolutely unhinged and terrifying at the same time. The running thru hallways was unnerving and the Pomni smiling at the end was unnerving. How have you made it so sick and disturbing at the same time? So cool, definitely want to watch later installments

My best friend shared this show with me yesterday, and it's right up my alley. A strong goofy yet existential comedy streak smashed into a smorgasborg of surreal visuals. This show is dreamlike and liminal. I love the cosmic circus feeling. Definitely can't wait to see more of it.

Well I believe that there is a way to escape from the digital world. This is pretty much common in many shows and movies that I’ve seen before.

That cutoff scream was incredibly funny, and the psychological horror was incredibly well executed. 10/10 pilot, hope there’s more

I'll be honest: I had no idea who this was made by, or what it was, until I went and checked it out for myself. I had heard of it way prior to its actual release, I think? But I never saw anything about it until now. This is an absolute masterpiece, and I loved all of it. The animation feels alive, and concepts feel adapted very well into its own universe, as expected. I hope there's more to see soon, because I loved it.
